Toshio Mura
was a professor of engineering. He was born in Ono, a small port village of Kanazawa Japan, on December 7, 1925. He received a doctorate in the Department of Applied Mathematics of the University of Tokyo in 1954. He taught at Meiji University, Japan from 1954 to 1958. In 1958, he went to the United States to work in the Department of Materials Science at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. He became a professor in the Department of Civil Engineering in 1966 before his retirement in 1996, and also held an appointment in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Dr. Mura was appointed Walter P. Murphy Professor in the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern, was elected as a member of the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) in 1986 for his contributions to the field of micromechanics, and received many other accolades for his work. Takashi Mura
is a Japanese figure skating coach and former competitor. He is the 1976 World Junior silver medalist, winning a medal at the inaugural event. He went on to win six medals in singles at the Japan Figure Skating Championships, and won it twice in pairs. His highest placement as a singles skater at the World Figure Skating Championships was 12th, in 1982. As a pair skater, he placed 12th with Yukiko Okabe in 1980, and 14th with Toshimi Ito in 1983. is a Japanese former competitive figure skater. He is the 2014 Four Continents champion, 2014 Skate Canada International champion, and 2012 Trophée Éric Bompard champion. Gianni Mura (9 October 1945 – 21 March 2020) was an Italian sports journalist and writer. Biography In November 1964, he obtained an apprenticeship position in the daily sports newspaper, ''La Gazzetta dello Sport'', and attended the University of Milan. This position was initially meant to be temporary, however he remained in the position for eight years. During his eight years at the Gazzetta he worked first as a correspondent for football matches of several different leagues and, starting in 1965, on the Giro d'Italia. He was mostly known for his coverage of the Tour de France, which he began writing about in 1967, and continued to do so for many years after. He also wrote several books centered around the race. Gambhir Singh Mura (1930 – 9 November 2002) was an Indian tribal dancer known for his contributions to the tribal martial dance of Chhau. He was an exponent of the Purulia school of Chhau. Mura was born in a tribal family to Jipa Singh Mura at Pitikiri Bamni village in Purulia district in the Indian state of West Bengal.
