Munster Senior Football Championship
The Munster Senior Football Championship, known simply as the Munster Championship and shortened to Munster SFC, is an annual inter-county Gaelic football competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county Gaelic football competition in the province of Munster, and has been contested every year, bar one, since the 1888 championship. The final, currently held on the fourth Saturday in June, serves as the culmination of a series of games played during May and June, and the results determine which team receives the Munster Cup. The championship has always been played on a straight knockout basis whereby once a team loses they are eliminated from the championship. 2022 Munster Senior Football Championship
The 2022 Munster Senior Football Championship was the 2022 installment of the annual Munster Senior Football Championship organised by the Munster GAA. Kerry were defending champions and went on to retain the title after a 1-28 to 0-8 win against Limerick in the final on 28 May. John Cleary (Gaelic Footballer)
John Cleary (born 20 June 1963) is an Irish former Gaelic footballer who played as a left corner-forward at senior level for the Cork county team. Born in Castlehaven, County Cork, Cleary first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of sixteen when he first linked up with the Cork minor team before later joining the under-21 side. He made his senior debut during the 1983 championship. Cleary immediately became a regular member of the starting fifteen and won two All-Ireland medals, three Munster medals and one National Football League medal. He was an All-Ireland runner-up on three occasions. Cleary was a member of the Munster inter-provincial team on a number of occasions but never won a Railway Cup medal. The Cork county football team represents Cork in men's Gaelic football and is governed by Cork GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association. 1992 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship
The 1992 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship was the 106th staging of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county Gaelic football tournament. The championship began on 17 May 1992 and ended on 20 September 1992. Down entered the championship as the defending champions; however, they were defeated by Derry in the Ulster semi-final. Clare shocked many people by defeating Kerry in the Munster final to win only their second provincial senior title (their first having come in 1917); they narrowly lost to Dublin in the All-Ireland semi-final. Colm Collins
Colm Collins is a Gaelic football manager, associated with Cratloe GAA club. Career Collins is a native of Kilmihil. He began managing Clare in late 2013 and became the longest-serving inter-county football manager when Mickey Harte left Tyrone. Collins led Clare from Division 4 to Division 3 of the National Football League, then to Division 2 where he consolidated his team's position. He led Clare to the 2016 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship qauerter-finals. He stayed on as Clare's manager for 2018.
