''Munshigiri'' (Bengali: মুন্সিগিরি ''Munsigiriḥ'') is a Bangladeshi mystery drama film directed by Amitabh Reza Chowdhury from a script by Naseef Amin for Chorki. Based on the novel ''Mriterao Kotha Bole'' by Shibabrata Barman, it stars Chanchal Chowdhury as Masood Munshi, Dilara Hanif Purnima as Suraiya Akhter, and Sabnam Faria as Parveen Sultana. It is released via Chorki on 30 September 2021. This is going to be the first installment of the trilogy franchise ''Munshigiri''. It is a character-driven franchise and Masood Munshi is the protagonist played by Chanchal Chowdhury. The story revolves around Munshi, who is an Additional Deputy Police Commission (ADC) from the detective branch (DB) of Bangladesh Police. Amitabh Reza Chowdhury
Amitabh Reza Chowdhury ( bn, অমিতাভ রেজা চৌধুরী) is a Bangladeshi filmmaker. In his career, he has directed nearly fifteen hundred (1500) television commercials (henceforth TVCs). Amitabh has also directed a few television films to critical acclaim. He founded the production house 'half stop down', which mainly produces TVCs. Amitabh's directorial debut in theatrical feature film is ''Aynabaji'' which was released on 30 September 2016. Early life Chowdhury was born to a middle-class family in 1976. Jahid Nirob (জাহিদ নিরব) born 21 October 1994 is a Bangladeshi singer and music composer best known as the member of the rock band Chirkutt. Nirob began his career when he participated in the contemporary reality show, Nescafe Get Set Rock in 2011, but didn't receive widespread recognition before joining Chirkutt in 2015.
