Jamberoo is a village on the South Coast of New South Wales, Australia in the Municipality of Kiama. It is approximately 11.3 km inland from Kiama. At the , Jamberoo had a population of 1,667. The town's name is derived from an Aboriginal word meaning 'track'. It is well known for the Jamberoo Action Park, Jamberoo Hotel, a pub, and the local dairy-farming community. Gerringong () is a town located about ten minutes drive south of Kiama, and about twenty minutes north of Nowra in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, Australia in the Municipality of Kiama. At the , Gerringong had a population of 3,966. One theory says that the name derives from an Aboriginal word meaning "fearful place". History Aboriginal people of the Dharawal language group are the original inhabitants and traditional custodians of the area now known as Gerringong and its surroundings. Foxground is a locality in the Municipality of Kiama, in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, Australia. It is located two kilometres from the Princes Highway, 10 kilometres south west of Kiama, New South Wales, Kiama. Broughton Creek flows through the valley. The name ''Foxground'' is derived from the once abundant Grey-headed Flying Foxes. Foxground was originally known as "The Flying Foxes Camping Ground". The Indigenous Australians, indigenous people of this area are from the Wadi Wadi and Yuin people, Yuin tribes. The first white men to explore the valley were likely to be Toona ciliata, Cedar cutters in the 1820s or possibly earlier. As early as 1814, cedar cutters explored the area around nearby Gerringong.
