Municipality Of Ilirska Bistrica
The Municipality of Ilirska Bistrica (; sl, Občina Ilirska Bistrica) is a municipality in Slovenia. It belongs to the traditional region of Inner Carniola. The seat of the municipality is the town of Ilirska Bistrica. The current municipality was established on 3 October 1994 from the former Municipality of Ilirska Bistrica without territorial changes. Koritnice
Koritnice (; german: Koritnize, it, Coritenza) is a village east of Knežak in the Municipality of Ilirska Bistrica in the Inner Carniola region of Slovenia. Mass grave Koritnice is the site of a mass grave from the Second World War. The Slope Cave Mass Grave ( sl, Grobišče Jama pod klancem) is located about east of the village. Based on descriptions by spelunkers and reports from local people, it contains the remains of German soldiers thrown into the shaft during the war. Jelšane
Jelšane (; it, Elsane) is a village in the Municipality of Ilirska Bistrica in the Inner Carniola region of Slovenia, right on the border with Croatia. The Jelšane Border checkpoint, international border crossing between Slovenia and Croatia is just south of the village. Jasen (; it, Jasena) is a settlement immediately southeast of Ilirska Bistrica in the Inner Carniola region of Slovenia. Mass graves Jasen is the site of five known mass graves or unmarked graves from the Second World War. Jablanica (; german: Jablanitz, it, Castel Iablanizza) is a settlement southeast of Ilirska Bistrica in the Inner Carniola region of Slovenia.
