Municipality Of Divača
The Municipality of Divača (; sl, Občina Divača) is a municipality in the Littoral region of Slovenia, near the Italian border. The seat of the municipality is the town of Divača. The municipality was established on 6 November 1994, when the former Municipality of Sežana was dissolved into four smaller municipalities (Divača, Hrpelje-Kozina, Komen, and Sežana). Škocjan Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is located in the municipality. Municipalities Of Slovenia
Slovenia is divided into 212 municipalities ( Slovene: ''občine'', singular'' občina''), of which 12 have urban (metropolitan) status. Dane Pri Divači
Dane pri Divači (; it, Danne) is a small village south of Divača in the Littoral region of Slovenia. Name Dane was attested in written sources 1400 as ''Podenn'', and in 1412 as ''zw Podem'', both German names. The semantically equivalent Slovene name is derived from the Slavic common noun ''*dъno'' '(valley) bottom, valley floor', referring to a place where flowing water disappears into the ground. Name The name ''Laže'' is derived from the plural demonym ''*Laz′ane'' (in turn from the common noun ''laz'' 'clearing in or near a woods overgrown with grass'), referring to people living in a clearing. Kačiče-Pared
Kačiče–Pared (; sl, Kačiče-Pared) is a settlement in the Municipality of Divača in the Slovenian Littoral, Littoral region of Slovenia. Geography Gallows Cave ( sl, Pod gavgah) lies northwest of the settlement. In the mid-20th century older residents recalled finding beams set up in the rock near the cave reputed to be gallows dating back to French rule under the Illyrian Provinces.
