Mundka
Mundka is a census town and village in the West Delhi district of Delhi. It is the birthplace and village of former Chief Minister of Delhi, the late Dr. Sahib Singh Verma. Its neighbouring villages are Bakkarwala and Nangloi. The current MLA of the Mundka constituency is Dharampal Lakra, a member of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Demographics According to the 2011 India census, Mundka had a population of 57,590. Males constituted 56% of the population and females 44%. Mundka had an average literacy rate of 78%, higher than the national average of 74.04%. Male literacy was 75%, and female literacy was 65%. At that time, 16% of the population was under six years of age. The village falls under the 8th Assembly of Delhi. The Delhi Metro is a mass rapid transit (MRT) system serving Delhi and its satellite cities of Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Noida, Bahadurgarh and Ballabhgarh, in the National Capital Region of India. Sahib Singh Verma
Sahib Singh Verma (15 March 1943 – 30 June 2007) was an Indian politician and the former senior vice-president of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He served as Chief Minister of Delhi (1996–1998) and was member of 13th Lok Sabha, Parliament of India (1999–2004). He served as the Union Labour Minister of India. Life Sahib Singh was born on 15 March 1943 in Mundka village, Delhi to Mir Singh, a farmer, and Bharpai Devi in a Jat family. In early childhood he was deeply influenced by Arya Samaj. Singh had a PhD degree in Library Science, and started work as librarian in Bhagat Singh College, Delhi. Kirti Nagar Metro Station
The Kirti Nagar Metro Station is located on the Blue Line of the Delhi Metro. It is one of the terminus stations of the Green Line, the other being Inderlok. An extension of the Green Line, commuters travelling on the Green Line are able to transfer to Blue Line from this station as well as the Red Line at Inderlok via Ashok Park Main, saving time and money, rather than going all the way to longer routes of Rajiv Chowk and Kashmere Gate. This branch opened on 27 August 2011. A new Metrolite Line is under construction and will be completed by 2025. It will run from Kirti Nagar to Bamnoli Village, with 22 stations. Inderlok Metro Station
Inderlok (formerly called Trinagar) is a Delhi Metro station located in Delhi, on the Red and Green Lines. It is a transfer station between the Red Line and the Green Line. The station is the terminal for the Green Line to Brigadier Hoshiyar Singh metro station, which is located in Bahadurgarh district of Haryana. One interesting thing about the Inderlok station is that the Green Line meets the Red Line perpendicularly here, unlike all the other interchange stations.
