Beau Mundine
Beau Mundine is an Australian professional rugby league footballer. He played for the South Sydney Rabbitohs in the National Rugby League competition. His position of choice was in the Rugby league positions#Centre, centres. Playing career Mundine is the younger cousin of the rugby league footballer turned boxer Anthony Mundine and nephew of the boxer Tony Mundine (boxer), Tony Mundine. A St. George junior, he made his NRL debut for the South Sydney Rabbitohs as a 21-year-old in 2002 against the Wests Tigers at Leichhardt Oval. In 2004 he signed for the Canberra Raiders and continued his NRL career with them although he never made a first grade appearance for the club. In 2006, he was playing for the St. George Illawarra Dragons which was his last year in the NRL. He made no first grade appearances for St. George Illawarra. Lynette Riley
Lynette Riley (born 1956) is an academic at the University of Sydney, currently employed within the Sydney School of Education & Social Work within the university as an associate professor. Riley is a Wiradjuri and Gamilaroi woman from Dubbo and Moree. She is known for her promotion of Aboriginal culture, in particular her kinship presentations and the associated online module. Personal life Riley was born in 1956 in Dubbo, New South Wales. She completed her schooling at Dubbo High School before completing teacher training at Armidale College of Advanced Education in 1977. Her first posting as a teacher was at Moree, New South Wales. In 1983 Riley shared a house with politician Linda Burney and contemporary Indigenous visual artist Michael Riley. Riley wed Aboriginal leader and politician Warren Mundine in 1984 at St Andrew's Congregational Church in Balmain, Sydney, and raised seven children with him (two from his previous marriage and one a foster child). Nyunggai Warren Stephen Mundine is an Australian Aboriginal leader and politician. He was the National President of the Australian Labor Party (ALP), but quit the party in 2012. Mundine was appointed chairman of the Coalition (Australia), Coalition government's Indigenous Advisory Council by then-prime minister, Tony Abbott. Mundine was the Liberal Party of Australia, Liberal Party's unsuccessful candidate for the marginal seat of Division of Gilmore, Gilmore on the south coast of New South Wales in the 2019 Australian federal election.
