Mumin Booqora Gala or (Moumin Guelleh) ( so, Muumin Geele) (born 6 September 1986 in Djibouti City, Djibouti) is a Djiboutian runner. He competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the 5000m event and placed thirteenth. Running career In 2011, he took 7th place in the 5000 meters race during the All-Africa Games in Maputo, Mozambique. He was the 10000 m silver medalist at the 2011 Pan Arab Games in Doha. His personal best in the 5000 meters is 13 min 17 s 77 set in Birmingham, United Kingdom in 2011. In 2012, he competed in the 5000 meters at the Olympic Games in London. Djibouti's National Olympic Committee (NOC), Comité National Olympique Djiboutien, selects athletes that meet the qualification standards. An NOC can to enter up to three qualified athletes in each individual event as long as each athlete met the "A" standard, or one athlete per event if they met the "B" standard. The 2014 African Championships in Athletics was held in Marrakech, Morocco from 10 to 14 August 2014. The competition was the 19th edition of Africa senior championships. 2013 Arab Athletics Championships
The 2013 Arab Athletics Championships was the eighteenth edition of the international athletics competition between Arab countries that took place in Doha, Qatar from 21–24 May 2013. Syria was excluded from the event because of the ongoing civil war and Libya did not send a team. Morocco topped the medals table with eleven gold medals in its total of 22, which it won mainly in the women's section of the competition. Algeria placed second with eight golds among its 19 medals. Bahrain had the greatest medal count overall with 22, and ranked third as it only claimed five golds. Egypt, Qatar and Tunisia each took four gold medals at the competition. Athletics At The 2012 Summer Olympics
The athletics competitions at the 2012 Olympic Games in London were held during the last 10 days of the Games, on 3–12 August. Track and field events took place at the Olympic Stadium in east London. The road events, however, started and finished on The Mall in central London. Over 2,000 athletes from 201 nations competed in 47 events in total, with both men and women having a very similar schedule of events. Men competed in 24 events and women in 23, of which 21 were the same for both. The women's schedule lacked the 50 km race walk and included 100 m hurdles and heptathlon as opposed to the men's 110 m hurdles and decathlon. The youngest participant in the athletics competition was Andorran 15-year-old Cristina Llovera while the oldest was 46-year-old Ukrainian Oleksandr Dryhol.
