Mulo (woreda)
Mulo is a woreda of Oromia Special Zone Surrounding Finfinne in Oromia Region, Ethiopia. It was part of the former Mulona Sululta woreda. Demographics The 2007 national census reported a total population for this woreda of 35,138, of whom 17,708 were men and 17,430 were women; 2,296 or 6.53% of its population were urban dwellers. Luis Padrón
Luis "El Mulo" Padrón Otorena (ca. 1878 – 1939) was a Cuban baseball player in the Negro leagues and Cuban League. Padron played from 1902 to 1917 with several Cuban ballclubs, including Habana, San Francisco, Club Fé, San Francisco Park, and Almendares. He played in the Negro leagues in 1909 and 1911 for the Cuban Stars (West), and in 1915 and 1916 for the Long Branch/Jersey City/Poughkeepsie Cubans. Padron also played in the Minor leagues, playing in the South Atlantic League, Connecticut State League, Illinois–Indiana–Iowa League, Ohio–Pennsylvania League, New York–New Jersey League, and the Atlantic League. George Muehlebach Brewing Company
The George Muehlebach Brewing Company () was a brewery that operated in Kansas City, Missouri, from 1868 until 1956, when it was acquired by Schlitz. Schlitz eventually discontinued the brand, and its Kansas City brewery was shut down in 1973. At one time, Muehlebach was the largest brewery in the Kansas City area. The Muehlebach family also founded the Muehlebach Hotel, Kansas City headquarters for Harry S. Truman during his presidency, and Muehlebach Field, which became Municipal Stadium for the Kansas City Athletics and Kansas City Royals baseball teams and the Kansas City Chiefs football team. George Muehlebach immigrated to Kansas City from Switzerland in 1859 by way of Lafayette, Indiana. The Swiss cross was to be part of the logo for all their beers. The principal lights and lighthouses of Croatia are operated and maintained by Plovput a state owned company. Meer Uitgebreid Lager Onderwijs (Dutch, "more advanced primary education") was during part of the twentieth century a level of education in the Netherlands (and the Dutch East Indies), comparable with the junior high school level in the US education system. Its successors were the mavo and vbo, now both replaced by vmbo. This level of education was used up to 2021 in Suriname, when it was replaced with "voortgezet onderwijs". In Suriname, MULO was a four year program. It was split into MULO-A which was focused on business and MULO-B which was focused on science. After graduating, students could move onto three-year VWO leading to university or a two-year HAVO leading to higher vocational training. The Memorial Union Labor Organization (MULO) was a labor union of student workers and limited-term employees (LTEs) at the Memorial Union and Union South on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus. Founded in 1971, the organization of workers at the Memorial Union was the result of the upsurge of political activity in the 1960s on the UW-Madison campus.
