Mukhethwa Mukhadi
Mukhethwa Mukhadi (born 22 June 1997), known professionally as Mike Tuney, is a South African rapper, singer, director and record producer. He is known for his song "Secure the Bag" and rose to popularity after his song "Tonight" went viral in 2016. Early life Mukhadi was born and raised in a small village called Sendedza, which is located just outside Thohoyandou in Limpopo. His love for hip hop began when he was only 12 and after few years, he started to write and record his own songs. Music career After releasing two mixtapes and one extended play, Mike released his very first studio album on his 23rd birthday in 2020, called "I Wish I Could". He gained recognition after releasing his first mixtape titled "X-Pectations" in 2016. Limpopo
Limpopo is the northernmost province of South Africa. It is named after the Limpopo River, which forms the province's western and northern borders. The capital and largest city in the province is Polokwane, while the provincial legislature is situated in Lebowakgomo. The province is made up of 3 former homelands of Lebowa, Gazankulu and Venda and the former parts of the Transvaal province. The Limpopo province was established as one of the new nine provinces after South Africa's first democratic election on the 27th of April 1994. Dzanani
Dzanani is a town and also the name of a region in the former Venda, now part of Limpopo province in South Africa. Dzanani was named after MuDzanani, which is one of the main surnames in Venda; and also the then Paramount Chiefs (Khosi Khulu) of Songozwi. The language predominantly spoken is TshiVenda, which is one of the eleven official languages of South Africa. Dzanani is from the town of Thohoyandou, from Louis Trichardt, from Pretoria and about from Harare in Zimbabwe. It is from Polokwane International Airport and about from O. R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. There is a tarred road leading to Dzanani and other nearby areas. It is usually a warm place, but can get very hot in summer and cold in winter. Trap Music
Trap is a subgenre of hip hop music that originated in the Southern United States during the 1990s. The genre gets its name from the Atlanta slang word "trap", a house used exclusively to sell drugs. Thohoyandou
Thohoyandou ( ve, Ṱhohoyanḓou) is a town in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. It is the administrative centre of Vhembe District Municipality and Thulamela Local Municipality. It is also known for being the former capital of the bantustan of Venda. History Thohoyandou became the capital of the former bantustan of Venda, while Dzanani is the traditional capital of Venda and the home of the VhaVenda kings. Thohoyandou name means "head of the elephant" in the Venda language, and was the name of one of the VhaVenda kings. Thohoyandou was built at Tshiluvhi which was under Khosi vho Netshiluvhi. Channel O is a South African-based music channel which first started transmission in 1997. Its main concept is African music in Africa and the diaspora. Channel O can be accessed via DStv, a satellite pay TV service for pan-African households. The channel broadcasts a variety of music videos. It also holds the annual Channel O Music Video Awards ceremony, where artists are awarded for their outstanding contribution to music.
