Muhammad Sarfaraz Khan Safdar
Muhammad Sarfaraz Khan Safdar (born; 1914 – 5 May 2009) ( Urdu: محمد سرفراز خان صفدر) was a Pakistani, Deobandi Scholar. Early life and education Sarfaraz Khan Safdar studied first with Ghulam Ghaus Hazarvi in his hometown. In 1939 he traveled to Darul Uloom Deoband with his brother Sufi Abdul Hameed Swati and studied ahadith under Husain Ahmad Madani. Mufti Wali Hasan Tonki
Wali Hasan Tonki (born; 1924 - 3 February 1995) (Urdu language, Urdu: ) was a Pakistani Mufti, Islamic scholar, judge and writer. Early life and education Wali Hasan was born in 1924 to Mufti Anwarul Hassan Khan in Tonk district. His father and grandfather, Muhammad Hassan Khan were muftis in the Sharia Court of Tonk. He studied Persian and other books of Arabic from his father. His father died when he was 11. In 1936 his paternal uncle Haider Hassan Khan took him to Darul-uloom Nadwatul Ulama and studied for four years. And then he studied random books from his paternal uncle in Tonk. After the death of his paternal uncle, he served for many years in the Sharia Court of Tonk. During this period, he passed the Maulvi examination from University of Allahabad and Maulvi Alam and Fazil from Panjab University. Then entered in Mazahir Uloom and complete Dars-i Nizami. Deobandis
Deobandi is a Islamic revival, revivalist movement within Sunni Islam, adhering to the Hanafi school of law, formed in the late 19th century around the Darul Uloom Deoband, Darul Uloom Madrassa in Deoband, India, from which the name derives, by Muhammad Qasim Nanautavi, Rashid Ahmad Gangohi, and several others, after the Indian Rebellion of 1857, Indian Rebellion of 1857–58. Mufti Muhammad Naeem (1958 – 20 June 2020) was a Pakistani cleric and Islamic scholar who served as Chancellor of Jamia Binoria. Biography Family background His paternal family came from Surat in Indian Gujarat. His grandfather was born a Parsi who adopted Islam. Life and career Naeem was born in 1958. He also co-founded the Deobandi seminary Jamia Binoria. He was executive member of Wifaq ul Madaris Al-Arabia, Pakistan. Death and legacy He died in Karachi on 20 June 2020 because of a heart attack. However Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah revealed in a speech at Sindh Assembly that Mufti Naeem, Talib Jauhri and Munawar Hasan, all of the three clerics who died in past week were due to COVID-19 during the COVID-19 pandemic in Pakistan. Zar Wali Khan
Mufti Zar Wali Khan (1953 – 7 December 2020), was a Pakistani Islamic scholar, writer and Friday sermon preacher. He was the founder and the principal of Jamia Ahsan Ul Uloom. Biography Khan was born in Jehangira and studied at Jamia Uloom-ul-Islamia. He founded Jamia Arabia Ahsan Ul Uloom, Karachi in 1978. Death He died on 7 December 2020 at Indus Hospital in Karachi while under treatment for his ailments. His death was condoled by Imran Ismail, Noor-ul-Haq Qadri, Muhammad Rafi Usmani, Muhammad Taqi Usmani, Fazal-ur-Rehman, Sirajul Haq and Abdur Razzaq Iskander. Nizamuddin Shamzai
Nizamuddin Shamzai (12 July 1952 – 30 May 2004) was a pro-Taliban Pakistani Sunni Islamic scholar and the senior professor of hadith at the Jamia Uloom-ul-Islamia. He was considered "one of the most important Deobandi figures in Pakistan" and the mentor of Mullah Mohammed Omar. He issued religious edicts and travelled to elicit support for the Taliban. Biography Shamzai received his early education from his native town in Swat District. In the 1960s he migrated to Karachi to study at Jamia Darul Khair then he enrolled in Jamia Farooqia, Karachi. In the early 1990s, he got his Ph.D. degree from University of Sindh on Imam Bukhari's teachers. Shamzai spent about 20 years teaching in Jamia Farooqia and joined Jamia Uloom-ul-Islamia where he succeeded to become Shaykh al-Hadith in 1997.
