Muhammad Enam-Ul Haque
Muhammad Enam-Ul Haque (January 30, 1939 - June 6, 2015) was a Bangladeshi academician, historian and writer who served as the fourth vice-chancellor of Islamic University, Bangladesh from May 9, 1995, to September 2, 1997. He was also a professor in the Department of Islamic History and Culture at Chittagong University. Early life and education Enam-Ul Haque was born January 30, 1939, in the village of Guptakhali in Muradpur union, Sitakunda upazila, Chittagong District to an aristocratic Muslim family. His father, Mawlana Nurul Absar, was professor in the Arabic department of Feni Government College and translated the book ''Muntakhab al-Arabi'' to English. Haque obtained his PhD from Chittagong University in 1973. Yahya Armajani
Yahya Armajani (November 3, 1908 – December 28, 1991) was a professor of history and soccer coach at Macalester College. Among his students were Kofi Annan and Walter Mondale. He was born in Siyahkal, Iran and raised as a Muslim in a peasant family in Rasht, Iran. He received an A.B. from the College of Emporia in 1930 and graduated from the Princeton Seminary in 1933, having been recruited to Princeton by Henry Bucher during the latter's family mission in Iran. He then received a M.A. (1933) and Ph.D. (1939) in Islamic history at Princeton. He worked at the Alborz College in Iran during three periods (1927–29, 1933–37, 1939–40). Then he worked for the Presbyterian Church in 1940-42 before becoming a liaison officer for the American Army Persian Gulf Command. The American Biographical Institute (ABI) was a paid-inclusion vanity biographical reference directory publisher based in Raleigh, North Carolina which had been publishing biographies since 1967. It generated revenue from sales of fraudulent certificates and books. Each year the company awarded hundreds of "Man of the Year" or "Woman of the Year" awards at between $195 and $295 each. Its awards were frequently denounced as scams by politicians, journalists, and others. The Government of Western Australia's ScamNet service considers the American Biographical Institute to be a scam vanity publisher "who appeals to people who want a plaque on their wall or see their name in a book, even if the honour has no real credibility—in effect, they have purchased the honour." The University of Dhaka (also known as Dhaka University, or DU) is a public research university located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is the oldest university in Bangladesh. The Asiatic Society of Bangladesh is a non political and non profit research organisation registered under both Society Act of 1864 and NGO Bureau, Government of Bangladesh. The Asiatic Society of Bangladesh was established as the Asiatic Society of East Pakistan in Dhaka in 1952 by a number of Muslim leaders, and renamed in 1972.
