Muhammad El-Amin
Muhammad El-Amin (born July 25, 1987) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Panionios of the Greek Basket League. He currently coaches 8th grade basketball at MacDonald Middle School. Early life El-Amin grew up in Ingham County, Michigan and attended Holt High School from 2002 to 2006. His freshman and sophomore years were spent at the junior varsity level, and El-Amin did not appear to have a chance at playing college basketball. Aided by a four-inch growth spurt between his sophomore and junior seasons, coupled with hard work in the gym, he found himself as a starter on Holt's competitive varsity squad. He then led Holt to a 26–2 record and state championship victory during his senior season, registering 18 points, 11 rebounds and three steals in the game. Greek Basket League
The Greek Basket League (GBL), often also referred to as the Greek A1 Basketball League, or Greek Basketball Championship (originally called Panhellenic Basketball Championship), and also known as the Stoiximan Basket League for sponsorship reasons, is the first tier level professional basketball league in Greece. It is run by HEBA ( el, ΕΣΑΚΕ, link=no), under the legal authority of the Hellenic Basketball Federation (E.O.K.). It is the highest-tier level of the Greek league system. The America East Conference is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with NCAA Division I founded in 1979, whose members are located in the Northeastern United States. The conference has nine core members including eight public research universities, three of which, the University of Maine, the University of New Hampshire, and the University of Vermont, are the flagship universities of their states. The two non-flagship university centers of the State University of New York are in the conference: the University at Albany and Binghamton University. The America East Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year, known also as the Kevin Roberson America East Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year, is a basketball award given to the America East Conference's most outstanding player. The award was first given following the 1979–80 season, the first year of the conference's existence (then called ECAC North). Ten players have earned the award multiple times.
