Muhammad Ayub Shah
Muhammad Ayub Shah ( ur, محمد ایوب شاہ) is a Pakistani politician who is currently serving as a member of the Gilgit-Baltistan Council since 12 November 2021. Muhammad Ayub Shah was born in 1964 in Yasin Valley to a Baigal family. He completed his primary and secondary education in his native village and for higher education, he moved to Karachi to attend the University of Karachi. Muhammad Ayub Shah started his political career at Karachi University, where he joined PSF, Peoples Student Federation a student union of the Pakistan People's Party. In 2022, he contested a by-election as an independent candidate from NA21 Ghizer 3 but was unsuccessful losing to Ghulam Muhammad of PPP at that time. Similarly, in 2004 Ayub Shah contested the election from the same constituency and lost to Gulam Muhammad again by a few votes margin. Gilgit-Baltistan Council
The Gilgit-Baltistan Council has been established as per Article 33 of Gilgit-Baltistan (Empowerment & Self Governance) Order, 2009. Its Chairman is the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the Governor of Gilgit-Baltistan is the Vice-Chairman over the six members-elected. Yasin Valley
Yasin ( ur, ''Yāsīn''), also known as Babaye-i-Yasen () or Worshigum ( khw, ''Worśigūm''), is a high mountain valley in the Hindu Kush mountains, in the northern part of Gupis-Yasin District in the territory of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. The valley is about from city of Gilgit (the capital of Gilgit Baltistan). The Yasin Tehsil is situated on its territory. The Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly (GBA), formerly known as Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly (GBLA), is a unicameral legislature of elected representatives of Autonomous territory (de-facto Pakistani province) of Gilgit-Baltistan, which is located in Jutial neighbourhood in the city of Gilgit, the capital of Gilgit-Baltistan.
