Muhamed Zulić
Muhamed Zulić (5 July 1928 – 16 October 2008) was a Croatian politician. He was a representative in the Croatian Parliament in its second assembly. From July 31, 1991 to August 12, 1992 he served as a minister without portfolio in the Croatian Government of National Unity as a member of the Croatian Democratic Union. During the Croatian War of Independence he was held by rebel Serb forces in Banovina for 25 days. He was freed on November 11, 1991. In 1993 Zulić represented the parliament at the Bleiburg commemoration. Zulić donated Ivan Meštrović's work ''Milan Milic'' to the Ivan Meštrović Foundation in 2005. He was awarded with Homeland War Memorial Medal and with Order of Ante Starčević The Order of Ante Starčević ( hr, Red Ante Starčevića) is a Croatian national decoration which ranks twelfth in importance. Homeland War Memorial Medal
The Homeland War Memorial ( hr, Spomenica Domovinskog rata) is a Croatian state medal awarded to both Croatian and foreign citizens who participated in the nation's Croatian War of Independence as a volunteer, part of the Croatian Army and Croatian Council of Defence or in some other role. The medal was widely granted, given to over 430,000 people who participated in the war in some form. Croatia is a predominantly Christian country, with Islam being a minority faith. It is followed by 1.3% of the country's population according to the 2021 census. Ivan Meštrović
Ivan Meštrović (; 15 August 1883 – 16 January 1962) was a Croatian sculptor, architect, and writer. He was the most prominent modern Croatian sculptor and a leading artistic personality in contemporary Zagreb. He studied at Pavle Bilinić's Stone Workshop in Split and at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, where he was formed under the influence of the Secession. He traveled throughout Europe and studied the works of ancient and Renaissance masters, especially Michelangelo, and French sculptors Auguste Rodin, Antoine Bourdelle and Aristide Maillol. He was the initiator of the national-romantic group Medulić (he advocated the creation of art of national features inspired by the heroic folk songs). During the First World War, he lived in emigration. After the war, he returned to Croatia and began a long and fruitful period of sculpture and pedagogical work. Croatian Parliament
The Croatian Parliament ( hr, Hrvatski sabor) or the Sabor is the unicameral legislature of the Republic of Croatia. Under the terms of the Croatian Constitution, the Sabor represents the people and is vested with legislative power. The Sabor is composed of 151 members elected to a four-year term on the basis of direct, universal and equal suffrage by secret ballot. Seats are allocated according to the Croatian Parliament electoral districts: 140 members of the parliament are elected in multi-seat constituencies.
