''Mugilan'' is a 2020 Indian Tamil-language crime thriller miniseries, produced as an Original for ZEE5, written and directed by Sri Ram Ram and edited by Tamil Arasan. It stars Karthik Raj and Ramya Pandian in the main lead roles. The miniseries is set in the backdrop of 1970s era and it is based on how socio political elements eventually triggered to a rise of a gangster in Tamil Nadu. It was released on 30 October 2020. Premise The series depicts socio-political events that led to the rise of one of the most dreaded gangsters of Kanchipuram district in Tamil Nadu in the 1970s called Mugilan. Karthik Raj
Karthik Raj is an Indian actor who works in Tamil film and television industry. Career Karthik started his acting career with the TV show, ''Kana Kaanum Kaalangal Kalooriyin Kadhai (2011-2012)'', where he essayed the role of Karthikeyan. ''Kana Kaanum Kaalangal Kalooriyin Kadhai'' was followed by Ram Vinayak’s ''Office''. He participated in '' Jodi Number One '' Season 7 with Nancy Jennifer. Ramya Pandian is an Indian actress who works in Tamil-language films. She is known for her role in '' Joker'' (2016) and ''Aan Devathai'' (2018). She was listed by the Chennai Times as the "Most Desirable Woman on Television 2020". Vishal Chandrasekhar
Vishal Chandrasekhar is an Indian film score and soundtrack composer, who has predominantly scored music for Tamil and Telugu films. Career Vishal started playing the keyboard aged six and began to give solo shows by the time he was ten years old. He graduated from Anna University with a master's degree in Electronic Media, and worked on over 450 short films and 250 ad jingles, en route to being adjudged the best music director in the ''Nalaya Iyakkunar'' show on Kalaignar TV.
