Muesee Kazapua (born 1980) is a SWAPO politician based in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. He was the mayor of Windhoek from 2014 to 2019. Kazapua attended Windhoek's Augustineum Secondary School and holds tertiary degrees in Youth Development, Local Government Administration, and Management. The South West Africa People's Organisation (, SWAPO; af, Suidwes-Afrikaanse Volks Organisasie, SWAVO; german: Südwestafrikanische Volksorganisation, SWAVO), officially known as the SWAPO Party of Namibia, is a political party and former independence movement in Namibia. Founded in 1960, it has been the governing party in Namibia since the country achieved independence in 1990. The party continues to be dominated in number and influence by the Ovambo ethnic group. SWAPO held a two-thirds majority in parliament from 1994 to 2019. In the general election held in November 2019, the party won 65.5% of the popular vote and 63 out of the 104 seats in the National Assembly. Windhoek (, , ) is the capital and largest city of Namibia. The ''New Era'' is a daily national newspaper owned by the government of Namibia. The newspaper is one of four daily national newspapers in the country, the others being ''The Namibian'' (English and Oshiwambo), ''Die Republikein'' (Afrikaans) and '' Allgemeine Zeitung'' (German). ''New Era'' was created by the ''New Era Publications Corporation Act of 1992''. According to Ullamaija Kivikuru, it copied the format of ''The Namibian'' in order to establish credibility. Augustineum Secondary School
The Augustineum Secondary School, established in 1866, is among the oldest schools in Namibia. Originally situated in Otjimbingwe, it was relocated to Okahandja in 1890, and finally to Windhoek in 1968. Previously also known as the Augustineum Training College and today the Augustineum Secondary School, it is a public school located in Khomasdal, a suburb of Windhoek. History Missionary Carl Hugo Hahn established the Augustineum as a seminary and teacher training college in Otjimbingwe in 1866. The name was chosen from Augustine of Hippo, "father of the church in Africa". In 1890 the institution had 14 students and was led by missionary Gottlieb Viehe. In this year it was moved from Otjimbingwe to Okahandja. December 1959 saw a student uprising at Augustineum, caused by the Old Location Uprising in Windhoek. The SWAPO Party Youth League (SPYL), formerly known as the SWAPO Youth League (SYL), is the youth wing of the SWAPO Party, the ruling party of Namibia since 1990.Swapo party constitution It shares the same principles as those of the SWAPO Party.
