Walter Edwards (director)
Walter Edwards (January 8, 1870 – April 12, 1920), was an American director, screenwriter and actor. He directed 46 films during his career. Edwards initially work at the Elitch Theatre was as a director in 1896, but he later returned for multiple seasons as an actor in the summer stock cast. "In 1896, Mrs. Elitch signed J. H. Huntley to direct a resident stock company... After six weeks of melodrama, however, and a few unsatisfactory notices, the organization of the company was changed. Huntley, who was not very popular with audiences or with newspaper reviewers, was replaced by Walter Edwards." On July 12, 1896, Edwards started as director and his first play was J. K. Tillotson's ''A Gilded Crime''. The newspaper review stated: "Walter Edwards' presence has strengthened the company materially..." Fred Goodwins (26 February 1891 – April 1923) was an English actor, film director and screenwriter of the silent era. He appeared in 24 films between 1915 and 1921.He most notably worked with Charlie Chaplin during Chaplin's mutual period, and wrote a series of articles detailing the production process of the period which were published in the magazine Red letter in 1916, and later compiled in a book titled "Charlie Chaplin's red letter days". Vera Doria
Vera Doria (born Veronica Eyton) was an Australian actress and opera singer active in Hollywood during the silent era. Biography Vera was born in Tasmania, Australia, to New Zealanders Robert Eyton and Maude Fosbery. She began singing opera in her native Australia as a young woman and toured Europe in the early 1910s. Eventually followed her older siblings, Alice Eyton (a screenwriter) and Charles Eyton (a film producer) to Los Angeles in 1915 seeking a career as an actress. At the time, she was married to fellow opera singer Juan de la Cruz. She appears to have retired from acting in the late 1910s to focus on her singing career. She eventually moved to Shanghai, where she met and married her second and third husbands, John Snodgrass and Harold Wavell. after she returned, she became a children's author.
