Mrs. Garrison
Herbert Garrison, formerly known as Janet Garrison, Ethan F Garrison, and the President, is a fictional character and occasional antagonist on the American animated television series ''South Park''. The character is voiced by cocreator Trey Parker and first appeared in ''South Park''s pilot episode, "Cartman Gets an Anal Probe", which aired on August 13, 1997. In the fictional world of South Park, Mr. Garrison is primarily depicted as a teacher, although his character was redirected in season 20, putting "Mr. Garrison" into the position of "the President" of the United States. The character is known to be particularly cynical, especially in comparison with the rest of South Park's adults, and he is one of the few characters the writers have break the fourth wall on the show. In seasons 1-8, the character is known as Mr. Garrison. In the season 9 premiere, "Mr. Garrison's Fancy New Vagina", the writers had the character undergo a sex change. Jerome McElroy, often referred to as "The Chef" or simply "Chef", is a recurring fictional character on the Comedy Central series ''South Park'' who was voiced by Isaac Hayes. A cafeteria worker at the local elementary school in the town of South Park, Colorado, Chef is generally portrayed as more intelligent than the other adult residents of the town, and understanding to the children. His advice is often sought by the show's core group of child protagonists— Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman, and Kenny McCormick—as he is the only adult they completely trust.
