Mrs. Delafield Wants To Marry
''Mrs. Delafield Wants to Marry'' is a 1986 American made-for-television romantic comedy film directed by George Schaefer and starring Katharine Hepburn and Harold Gould which premiered on CBS on Easter Sunday, March 30, 1986. It tells the story of a widow who shocks her upper-class, Anglo-American family when she announces that she has fallen in love with her Jewish doctor. His family is equally unhappy with the news, and both individuals have to fight the prejudices of their families. Plot Margaret Delafield, a rich elderly lady and widow of Spaulding 'Spud' Delafield (an unseen character),is rushed to hospital. James Prideaux
James Prideaux (August 29, 1927 – November 18, 2015) was an American playwright known for ''The Last of Mrs. Lincoln''. Prideaux was born in 1927 as James Priddy in South Bend, Indiana, the son of Lloyd Priddy, a professional photographer, and Beulah Shirey. Wanting to become an actor, he adopted a new name and relocated to Chicago and then New York, but found his metier as a writer. He wrote for magazines such as ''Playboy'' and the ''Ladies Home Journal'' and joined the Barr-Wilder-Albee Playwrights Unit, a theater workshop. Brenda Forbes (14 January 1909 – 11 September 1996) was a British-born American actress of stage and screen. Personal life Born as Dorothy Brenda Taylor in Wandsworth, London, the daughter of Ernest John and Ethel Louise Taylor. Her mother was actress Mary Forbes, and her elder brother was actor Ralph Forbes (né Ralph Forbes Taylor), she made her first film appearance in 1935 and her last in 1995. The category was originally called Outstanding Drama or Comedy Special. Kathryn Walker is an American theater, television and film actress. Biography Walker was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
