Mridul Wadhwa
Mridul Machindra Wadhwa (born 1978) is an Indian-born Scottish women's rights, trans rights and anti-domestic violence campaigner. She serves as Chief Executive Officer of Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre. She is a member of the Scottish Green Party and was formerly active in the Scottish National Party and a candidate in the 2021 Scottish Parliament election. Since 2019 she has been the target of harassment on social media and from other sources, including racist comments, false accusations, and threats of physical violence. She lived in Pune until 30, where she ran a successful business with her husband, then emigrated to the United Kingdom, where she earned a master's degree in education from the University of Edinburgh in 2005. Shakti Women's Aid
Shakti Women’s Aid, based in Edinburgh in Scotland, helps black and minority ethnic women, children, and young people who have experienced, domestic abuse. They work closely with the Scottish Government, Police Scotland, NHS Scotland, and other statutory and voluntary services. They provide helpline services for user and consultancy for other agencies. In 1987, Shakti opened the first refuge for BME women in Edinburgh. Graham Linehan
Graham Linehan () (born 22 May 1968) is an Irish television writer and anti-transgender activist. He created or co-created the sitcoms ''Father Ted'' (1995–1998), ''Black Books'' (2000–2004) and '' The IT Crowd'' (2006–2013). He has also written for ''Count Arthur Strong'', ''Brass Eye'' and ''The Fast Show''. After an episode of ''The IT Crowd'' was criticised as transphobic in 2008, Linehan became involved in anti-transgender activism. Transphobia is a collection of ideas and phenomena that encompass a range of negative attitudes, feelings, or actions towards transgender people or transness in general.
