Mr Biffo
Paul Rose (born 1971), known by his online persona Mr Biffo, is a British screenwriter. He was the editor of the Teletext-based video games magazine Digitiser, which ran between 1993 and 2003, and is a BAFTA-nominated writer of children's television. Career Video games In 1993 Rose founded the Teletext-based video games magazine ''Digitiser''. This ran until 2003, with the service reaching over 1.5 million viewers a week. In 2014, the ''Digitiser'' brand returned as an online website titled ''Digitiser 2000'', penned by Rose. This was followed in 2018 by a video series, ''Digitiser: The Show'', a retrogaming magazine show funded through Kickstarter. Asperger's Are Us
Asperger's Are Us is an American comedy troupe. They are the first comedy troupe consisting entirely of people with Asperger syndrome, though their shows do not reference autism at all. Biography Asperger's Are Us formed on the North Shore of Massachusetts in the summer of 2010 after New Michael Ingemi, Jack Hanke, and Ethan Finlan graduated from a summer camp where Noah Britton was their counselor. They have performed over 150 original sketch comedy shows in ten countries and have been interviewed many times by press around the world. They state that their name reflects their "Aspie style of humor, which focuses on dark absurdism and wordplay, which Aspies seem to enjoy a lot". Retrogaming, also known as classic gaming and old school gaming, is the current playing and collection of obsolete personal computers, consoles, and video games. Usually, retrogaming is based upon systems that are outmoded or discontinued, although ported retrogaming allows games to be played on modern hardware via ports or compilations. It is typically for nostalgia, preservation, or authenticity. A new game could be retro styled, such as an RPG with turn-based combat and pixel art in isometric camera perspective. Retrogaming has existed since the early years of the video game industry, and was popularized with the Internet and emulation technology. It is argued that the main reasons players are drawn to retrogames are nostalgia for different eras, the idea that classic games are more innovative and original, and the simplicity of the games. ''Sooty'' is a British children's television series, created and presented by Richard Cadell, and premiered on CITV on 5 November 2001, running for three series. The programme is the fourth programme in the franchise of the same name, and replaced ''Sooty Heights'', with Cadell supported by co-presenter Vicki Lee Taylor, and Brenda Longman during the first series, and Sheila Clark for the remaining series. ''Future Tactics: The Uprising'' is a turn based tactical shooter video game by Zed Two. Once known as ''Pillage'', this turn based shooter was stuck in development for a number of years before being picked up by Crave for a US release, followed shortly by JoWood for a European release. It plays a lot like the '' Worms 3D'' games and has a story penned by Paul Rose. The game features a geo-mod system in which almost anything can be destroyed, leaving battlefields scarred by craters. It was released on PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube and Windows. A Gizmondo version was planned, but cancelled after Tiger Telematics went bankrupt.
