David Moyes
David William Moyes ( ; born 25 April 1963) is a Scottish professional football coach and former player. He is currently the manager of Premier League club West Ham United. He was previously the manager of Preston North End, Everton, Manchester United, Real Sociedad and Sunderland. Moyes was the 2003, 2005 and 2009 League Managers Association Manager of the Year. He is also on the committee for the League Managers Association in an executive capacity. Moyes made over 540 league appearances as a centre-back in a playing career that began with Celtic, where he won a championship medal. He then played for Cambridge United, Bristol City, Shrewsbury Town and Dunfermline Athletic before ending his playing career with Preston North End. Gordon Keith Mackenzie Moyes AC (17 November 1938 – 5 April 2015) was an Australian Christian evangelist, broadcaster and politician. From 2002 to 2011, he was a member of the New South Wales Legislative Council, initially representing the Christian Democratic Party until March 2009, and from November 2009 to 2011 was the Family First Party's lone parliamentary representative in New South Wales. Morton Henry Moyes
Morton Henry Moyes (29 June 1886 – 20 September 1981) was an Australian Antarctic explorer and naval officer. Moyes was born in Koolunga to headmaster John Moyes and Ellen Jane, ''née'' Stoward. Two of his brothers were John Stoward Moyes, who became an Anglican bishop, and Alban George (Johnnie) Moyes, a first class cricketer and journalist. Morton attended the Collegiate School of St Peter in Adelaide and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in physics and mathematics from the University of Adelaide in 1910, having represented South Australia in athletic championships. His geology lecturer, Douglas Mawson, had a profound impact on him and he successfully applied to join Mawson's Australasian Antarctic expedition in 1911 as meteorologist for Frank Wild's western base. John Stoward Moyes
John Stoward Moyes (25 July 1884 – 29 January 1972) was an Australian Anglican bishop and author. History Moyes was born in Koolunga, a son of John Moyes (died 1927), headmaster of Port Pirie and Thebarton high schools, and his wife Ellen Jane Moyes, née Stoward (died 1898). He was educated at St Peter's College, Adelaide and the University of Adelaide. Ordained in 1908 he began his career with curacies at St Paul's, Port Pirie and St Mary's, Lewisham. Next he held incumbencies at St Cuthbert's Prospect and St Bartholomew's Norwood during which time he became Archdeacon of Adelaide. In 1929 he was appointed Bishop of Armidale, a post he held for 35 years. Social issues Moyes was a proponent of the social gospel, having been influenced by his observation of extremes of wealth and poverty during his tenure at Lewisham. John Moyes (cricketer)
John Robert Moyes (born 2 December 1946) is a former English cricketer. Moyes was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm off break and who occasionally fielded as a wicket-keeper. He was born in Ipswich, Suffolk. Moyes initially played Minor Counties Championship cricket for Suffolk between 1966 and 1968. He later joined Cumberland, making his debut for the county in the 1973 Minor Counties Championship against the Yorkshire Second XI. Moyes played Minor counties cricket for Cumberland from 1973 to 1993, including 127 Minor Counties Championship matches and 15 MCCA Knockout Trophy matches. In 1984, he made his List A debut against Derbyshire in the NatWest Trophy. He played five further List A matches for Cumberland, the last of which came against Lancashire in the 1989 NatWest Trophy. Kris Moyes (born 30 October 1978) is an Australian-born director and producer and founder of KMOYES PICTURES. He is perhaps best known for his innovative music videos. In 2005 he directed The Presets "Are You The One?" which utilized a large array of film techniques that playfully proposed answers to who the "one" is. The video also featured a digital artifact motif he developed by interrupting the transfer of DIVX files of original footage from a PC to a MAC computer, to which many homage videos were made. Moyes has had close ties to Modular Records since 2005. He is probably better known for his videos for Softlightes and The Presets. James Moyes (1851–1927) was a Scottish writer, theologian, and controversialist. Biography Moyes was born in Edinburgh in 1851. He was educated in Ireland, France, and Rome at the Venerable English College, Rome. Ordained into the priesthood in 1875, he was later appointed professor at St Bede's College, Manchester, England. He was appointed canon theologian of Salford Chapter, 1891, and of the Westminster Chapter, 1895. In 1896, he served on the Papal Commission in Rome on Anglican matters on which he was an authority.
