João Mouzinho de Albuquerque (21 February 1797 in Leiria – 8 August 1881 in Portalegre) was a Portuguese writer and administrator. Biography João Mouzinho de Albuquerque was born in Leiria on 21 February 1797, son of João Pedro Mouzinho de Albuquerque (1736–1802) and dona Luísa da Silva Gutiérrez de Ataíde (1763–18??), both from noble families. His father was a Fidalgo-knight of the Royal House and possessed two estates in Chelas. His mother was the daughter of Luís da Silva de Ataíde, a senior-guard of the Leiria pine forest and Lord of Casa do Terreiro. João Pedro Mouzinho de Albuquerque (May 1736 in Lisbon – 1802 in Leiria (some say ca/bef. 1815)) was a Portuguese nobleman. Life Mouzinho de Albuquerque was born in Lisbon in 1736 to Pedro Mamede Mouzinho de Albuquerque and his second wife Maria Micaela Tavares de Mesquita. He was baptized by the Desembargador Rev. Dr. Sebastião Pereira de Castro at the Monastery of São Vicente de Fora, Lisbon, on June 4, 1736. His godfather, Dom Diogo de Noronha, 3rd Marquess of Marialva and 5th Count of Cantanhede by marriage, was represented at the ceremony by his son Dom Rodrigo António de Noronha e Meneses. Joaquim Augusto Mouzinho de Albuquerque (12 November 1855 – 8 January 1902) was a Portuguese cavalry officer. He captured Gungunhana in Chaimite (1895) and was governor-general of Mozambique. José Mouzinho d'Albuquerque (27 December 1885 – 8 August 1965) was a Portuguese horse rider. He competed in the 1924 Summer Olympics and in the 1928 Summer Olympics. Cidália Lopes Nobre Mouzinho Guterres is the wife of former president of East Timor Francisco Guterres and as such was First Lady of East Timor from 20 May 2017 to 20 May 2022. A native of the Atauro Island, in East Timor, she became the second wife of the Francisco Guterres on 4 May 2002 with whom she had three male children and one female. Luís da Silva Mouzinho de Albuquerque (June 16, 1792 in Lisbon – December 27, 1846 in Torres Vedras; ) was a Portuguese military officer, engineer, poet, scientist and politician, who distinguished himself during the Liberal Wars and in the conflicts that marked Portugal's history in the first half of the 19th century. He served as the Minister of the Kingdom (a post similar to today's Minister of Internal Affairs) during the liberal regency of Pedro of Braganza (formerly Pedro I of Brazil and IV of Portugal).
