Moussa Arafat
Moussa Arafat al-Qudwa (; [birth date unknown] in Jaffa – September 7, 2005 in Gaza City) was a cousin of Palestinian people, Palestinian President of the Palestinian National Authority, leader Yasser Arafat. He was one of the founders of Fatah and a leading official in the Fatah Revolutionary Council. Career Moussa Arafat was chief of military intelligence in the 1990s. In 2004, he was head of the general security branch in the Gaza Strip. In July 2004, Arafat was nominated head of the Palestinian Security Services in West Bank and Gaza Strip. This nomination and corruption claims against Arafat's family were partially the catalyst for intense armed conflict in the streets of Gaza between Palestinian 'militants' of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade group and fighters loyal to Chairman Arafat's Fatah. The Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) ( ar, لجان المقاومة الشعبية, ''Lijān al-Muqāwama al-Shaʿbiyya'') is a coalition of a number of armed Palestinian groups opposed to what they regard as the conciliatory approach of the Palestinian Authority and Fatah towards Israel. The PRC is especially active in the Gaza Strip, through its military wing, the Al-Nasser Salah al-Deen Brigades. The PRC has planned and executed a number of varied operations, but specializes in planting roadside bombs and vehicle explosive charges - directed against military and civilian convoys. A rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) is a shoulder-fired missile weapon that launches rockets equipped with an explosive warhead. Most RPGs can be carried by an individual soldier, and are frequently used as anti-tank weapons. These warheads are affixed to a rocket motor which propels the RPG towards the target and they are stabilized in flight with fins.
