Mountjoy United Football Club is a Junior football club playing in the Fermanagh & Western Division 1 in Northern Ireland. The club is based in Omagh, County Tyrone. Intermediate Status Mountjoy United played in the Northern Ireland Intermediate league until 2014 when they rejoined the Junior level Fermanagh and Western Football League. Youth Football Mountjoy United currently provide Youth Football at all ages from Under 7 mini soccer up to Under 17. Mountjoy United Juniors currently have teams playing in the Mid Ulster Youth Football League at Under 11 and Under 17, they also have teams playing in the Brendan Keogh Youth League at Under 11, Under 12, Under 13, Under 15 and Under 16. Fermanagh & Western FA
The Fermanagh & Western Football Association is one of four regional FAs within Northern Ireland and affiliated to the Irish FA, the others being the County Antrim FA (also known as the North East Ulster FA), the Mid-Ulster FA and the North-West FA. History The Fermanagh & Western FA was founded in 1907 following the expansion of the Fermanagh & South Tyrone FA (itself founded in 1904). Although its responsibilities are now bound by the borders of Northern Ireland, initially the F&W FA ran football as far south as Sligo, Clones and Cavan. The Northern Ireland football league system is categorised into three levels: senior, intermediate and junior. Clubs attain intermediate status by fulfilling certain criteria (e.g. owning or leasing its own enclosed ground). Senior status requires clubs to reach stricter criteria. Omagh (; from ga, An Ómaigh , meaning 'the virgin plain') is the county town of County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It is situated where the rivers River Drumragh, Drumragh and Camowen River, Camowen meet to form the River Strule, Strule.
