Mount Diablo High School
Mount Diablo High School is a public high school located in Concord, California, United States. It is the oldest school in the Mount Diablo Unified School District, founded in April 1901. The school currently serves western Concord, the unincorporated communities of Bay Point and Clyde and a portion of Pittsburg. Academies The school features several specialized programs, known as "academies". Originally these were opt-in; a student could join an academy or choose to pursue their education without taking academy classes. Beginning in 2012 all sophomores and freshmen and all incoming students were required to enroll in one of four academies. While this decision was controversial, Mount Diablo High School continues to house all students from grades 9-12 within these four California Partnership Academies, in addition to the World Academy, which serves students who are new to the country and English language education. Concord, California
Concord ( ) is the largest city in Contra Costa County, California. According to an estimate completed by the United States Census Bureau, the city had a population of 129,295 in 2019 making it the eighth largest city in the San Francisco Bay Area. Todd Lichti
Todd Samuel Lichti (born January 8, 1967) is an American former professional basketball player. At 6'4" (1.93 m) and 205 lb (93 kg) he played at guard. He was selected with 15th pick in the 1989 NBA draft by the Denver Nuggets where he stayed for 4 years. He also had short stints with Orlando Magic, Golden State Warriors, and Boston Celtics before moving to Australia to play for the Perth Wildcats. Lichti was inducted into the College Basketball Hall of Fame in 2019. College career In four seasons with Stanford, Lichti averaged 18.8 points per game, 5.3 rebounds per game, and 2.5 assists per game, appearing in 124 games. Dennis Havrilla (born August 24, 1987) is an American football quarterback who is currently a free agent. He signed as an undrafted free agent with the Arizona Adrenaline of the Indoor Football League (IFL) in 2011. He played college football at Western New Mexico University. John Louis Gonzaga (March 6, 1933 – May 17, 2007) was an American football offensive lineman in the National Football League (NFL) for the San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, and Detroit Lions. Clyde is a census-designated place (CDP) in Contra Costa County, California, United States. The population was 678 at the 2010 census. It is located east of Martinez. History In 1917, the United States Shipping Board provided a government loan to the Pacific Coast Shipbuilding Company to build a company town. The board commissioned Bernard Maybeck to be supervising architect for laying out the new town. He designed the hotel and around 200 of the initial homes built in the town.
