Motorway 64 (Greece)
The Greek Motorway A64 ( el, Αυτοκινητόδρομος 64), often referred to as the Hymettus Ring Road () is a branch of the main A6 route in the Attiki Odos motorway network. It is named after the Hymettus mountain range it partly encircles. Serving parts of eastern Athens, it is also expected to be extended further southwards following the Hymettus to Vouliagmeni, and further eastwards towards Rafina Rafina ( el, Ραφήνα) is a suburban port town located on the eastern coast of Attica in Greece. Katechaki Avenue
Katechaki or Katehaki Avenue (Greek: Λεωφόρος Κατεχάκη ''Leoforos Katechaki'') is one of Athens main roads. Its total length is approximately 12 to 13 km. About the avenue The avenue begins by an interchange with the Mesogeiou Avenue which was constructed in the 1970s, the avenue forms an intersection with the road to Zografou and Olof Palme Street and north to Papagou. By the avenue with a stretch of 2 km features industrial buildings, shops and office complexes constructed between the 1970s and the 1990s. Since 2004, it has an interchange with the Attiki Odos with two lanes of exits and 300 m north, its first toll station. The avenue enters the Hymettus' forest filled with pine, spruce, fir (Greek Fir) and cypress trees. It later enters an interchange with the University of Athens and a road to the top of the mountain along with communications tower which is not used during the nighttime hours. Agia Paraskevi
Agia Paraskevi ( el, Αγία Παρασκευή, ''Agía Paraskeví'') is a suburb and a municipality in the northeastern part of the Athens agglomeration, Greece. It is part of the North Athens regional unit. Agia Paraskevi was named after the main church of the town, which is dedicated to Saint Paraskevi of Rome. Geography Agia Paraskevi is situated near the northern edge of the forested Hymettus mountain range, northeast of Athens city center. The municipality has an area of 7.935 km2. The built-up area of Agia Paraskevi is continuous with those of the neighboring Cholargos, Chalandri and Gerakas. Pikermi
Pikermi ( el, Πικέρμι) is a suburb of Athens and a former community of East Attica regional unit, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Rafina-Pikermi, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 21.522 km2. Geography Pikermi is situated at the northern edge of the Mesogaia plain, south of the Penteliko Mountain. It is 5 km east of Pallini, 6 km west of Rafina and 19 km east of Athens city centre. Motorway 6 (Greece)
Motorway 6 ( el, Αυτοκινητόδρομος 6) or Attica Motorway or Attiki Odos (Greek: Αττική Οδός) is a privately owned toll motorway in Greece, part of the Attiki Odos system. Connecting Eleusis in the west with the Athens International Airport in the east, it forms the northern beltway of Athens. The length of the motorway is . History Construction of the motorway began in 1996. Part of the motorway was opened along with the Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport to which it connects, in 2001. It started from the Gerakas interchange and led to the airport. In September 2002, construction of the Athens Suburban Railway railway started, in the large median of the motorway. Greek National Road 89
Greek National Road 89 is a road in East Attica, Greece. It connects Gerakas with Sounio, via Koropi and Lavrio. Between Gerakas and Koropi it has lost importance after the opening of the Motorway 6. There are plans to upgrade the section between Koropi and Lavrio to motorway standards, by constructing junctions to replace the traffic lights and generally upgrading the road.
