Motograter
Motograter was an American heavy metal band formed in Santa Barbara, California in 1995. They are best known for their homemade, namesake instrument, designed with industrial cable and guitar pieces that creates a unique bass sound, and painting themselves in tribal-style body paint for live concerts. Under the band's original lineup between 1998 and 2001, they released two EPs, ''Hugh Chardon'' and ''Indy''. In 2002, Ivan "Ghost" Moody took over from original singer Zak Ward and released their debut studio album ''Motograter'' in 2003. The band went on an indefinite hiatus in 2005, disbanded after playing a one-time reunion show in 2006, and then reformed in 2008 with a new lineup featuring singer Michael "Angel" Woodruff. They released the EP ''Pre-Release'' in 2009, and toured until they again disbanded in 2011. In 2013, the band reformed once again and performed at Slipknot's Knotfest the next year. Desolation (Motograter Album)
''Desolation'' is the second studio album by American metal band Motograter. After years of delays and lineup changes, the album was released on August 17, 2017 through EMP Label Group. Background The band's last release was the 2009 EP '' Pre-Release'' with the group's last studio album, ''Motograter'', being released in 2003. The band had experience lineup instability since their debut studio release, breaking up in 2005 then having a one-off reunion in 2006 at the Delicious Rox Festival. Motograter would reform in 2008, but would disband in 2011. Motograter reformed in November 2013 with Michael "Angel" Woodruff on vocals, Matt "Nuke" Nunes, and Mylon Guy on bass returning from the previous incarnation in addition to new members Noah "Shark" Robertson on drums, Kery "Venom" Glennon on guitar, and Michael "The Kidd" Stewart on the Motograter; Angel and Venom left the band in December 2014. Motograter (album)
The eponymous debut album by American nu metal band Motograter was released on June 24, 2003. Although the album has a total of 22 tracks, half of them are short, static tracks, which are all the names of the tracks reversed. For instance, ''Eman On'' is a reversed version of ''No Name'', and a message can clearly be heard in the last five seconds. This is the band's only release to feature Ivan Moody as lead vocalist as well as all other band members with the exception of Matt Nunes. Ivan Moody
Ivan L. Moody (born Ivan Lewis Greening on January 7, 1980) is an American singer and songwriter who is the lead vocalist of Heavy metal music, heavy metal band Five Finger Death Punch (FFDP). He performed for several other bands including Motograter and Ghost Machine before joining FFDP. Moody was known by the pseudonym "Ghost" during his time with Motograter. Early life Moody was born Ivan Lewis Greening in Denver, Colorado. Growing up, he lived in several smaller cities in the area, including Arvada, Castle Rock, Lakewood, Wheat Ridge, and Northglenn. Noah Robertson
Noah "Shark" Robertson (born July 28, 1983) is an American drummer, comedian, and writer. He is one of the founding members of The Browning. He was also the drummer of Motograter from 2013 to 2017. Robertson is currently the drummer for Jeffrey Nothing, former vocalist and founding member of Mushroomhead. In July 2011, he founded Swimming With Sharks Records. The label roster includes Eye of the Enemy (Australia) and Hellbent, among other acts from around the world. Past artists include Mouth Of The Serpent, Aechoes, Laconic, Blindfolded and Led To the Woods, among others. On August 29, 2016 Robertson launched Zombie Shark Records and announced his first signings as Keychain from Montreal and Darkc3ll from Australia. Knotfest is a music festival created in 2012 by American heavy metal band Slipknot. The event has been held both as a touring festival and a destination festival in several countries including the United States, Canada, Japan, Germany, Mexico, Colombia, France and Chile. Corrosion of Conformity (also known as COC) is an American heavy metal band from Raleigh, North Carolina, formed in 1982. The band has undergone multiple line-up changes throughout its existence, with guitarist Woody Weatherman as the sole constant member. Weatherman, founding bassist Mike Dean, founding drummer Reed Mullin, and vocalist and rhythm guitarist Pepper Keenan (who joined the band in 1989) are widely regarded as its 'classic' line-up. Pop Evil is an American rock band that was formed in North Muskegon, Michigan, in 2001 by Leigh Kakaty. The band's roots reside in TenFive, a group formed in the late-1990s by Kakaty and guitarist Jason Reed.
