Morningside, also known as Seven Oaks, is a suburban neighbourhood in the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located to the north-east of downtown Toronto, in the suburb of Scarborough. Morningside is bordered by Highway 401 to the north, Morningside Avenue to the east, West Highland Creek and Lawrence Avenue to the south and Scarborough Golf Club Road to the west. Education Two public school boards operate schools in Morningside, the separate Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB), and the secular Toronto District School Board (TDSB). Both TCDSB, and TDSB operate public elementary schools in the neighbourhood. TCDSB operates St. Edmund Campion Separate School, whereas TDSB operate Military Trail Public School, and Highcastle Public School. Woburn is a neighbourhood located in eastern Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in the former suburb of Scarborough. Woburn is bordered by Highway 401 to the north, Orton Park Road to the east, Lawrence Avenue to the south, and McCowan Road to the west. Residences are split between high rises and single detached homes, which account for almost ninety per cent of all residences. History A Wyandot burial mound, Taber Hill is situated in Woburn. Dating to 1250, the burial mound contains over 500 graves, with skeletons buried in a manner consistent with the Huron Feast of the Dead. West Hill is a neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the eastern end of the city, in the suburb of Scarborough. It is roughly bounded by Scarborough Golf Club Road and a branch of Highland Creek on the west, the CNR railway tracks and Lake Ontario on the south, and Highland Creek on the north-east. The name comes from its elevated position on the west side of Highland Creek, a deep glacial ravine. The section east of Manse Road, which roughly splits this neighbourhood in half, is often now referred to as the Manse Valley neighbourhood. Highland Creek is a neighbourhood in eastern Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located along the southern portion of the Highland Creek (Toronto), river of the same name in the former suburb of Scarborough, Toronto, Scarborough. To the east are the neighbourhoods of Port Union, Toronto, Port Union and West Rouge, to the west West Hill, Toronto, West Hill and Woburn, Toronto, Woburn, and to the south Port Union, Toronto, Centennial Scarborough. Morningside Park is a recreational nature park located in Scarborough, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is Toronto's largest municipal park by area. Description The park occupies most of the deep valley of Highland Creek where it borders the communities of West Hill and Highland Creek. Spanning , the park includes picnic areas, public washrooms, parking and footpaths which connect to nearby communities and the Waterfront Trail on Lake Ontario.
