is a remix album by Japanese singer/songwriter Chisato Moritaka, released on December 10, 1989. The album includes two new tracks: "Uwasa" and " Michi", plus songs re-recorded by Moritaka and remixed by Hideo Saitō. A limited edition release included a 60-page photo book. The album peaked at No. 2 on Oricon's albums chart and sold over 313,000 copies. The Stress
is the sixth single by Japanese singer/songwriter Chisato Moritaka. The lyrics were written by Moritaka and the music was composed by Hideo Saitō. The single was released by Warner Pioneer on February 25, 1989. The full title of the single is , a remix of "Stress" with Middle Eastern-style synthesizer arrangements. Background During a rehearsal in the middle of her first national tour in 1988, Moritaka suffered abdominal pain and had to be hospitalized for a week after being diagnosed with acute enteritis. Her doctor told her that the inflammation was caused by mental stress. As a result, the experience inspired her to write "The Stress". Music video The music video features Moritaka as a waitress having to deal with all kinds of customers at a ramen restaurant while visualizing her stress as a ghostly entity watching her. New Season (song)
is the debut single by Japanese singer Chisato Moritaka. Written by HIRO and Hideo Saitō, the single was released by Warner Pioneer on March 25, 1987. The song was used as the theme song of the 1987 Toho film ''Aitsu ni Koishite'', which also featured Moritaka's acting debut. It was also featured in the Fuji TV drama special , also starring Moritaka. Background Shortly after winning the first Pocari Sweat Image Girl Contest in 1986, Moritaka moved from Kumamoto to Tokyo to begin her entertainment career. A team of songwriters led by Hiromasa Ijichi (using the pseudonym "HIRO") and Hideo Saitō were brought in to compose materials for her debut album (also titled '' New Season''), as she had not yet experimented on writing her own songs. Kyōhei Tsutsumi
(born Eikichi Watanabe, 28 May 1940 - 7 October 2020), was a Japanese composer, record producer and arranger. Tsutsumi began his career as a songwriter about 1966, and he came to prominence as a composer of Ayumi Ishida's chart-topping hit "Blue Light Yokohama" in the late 1960s. He has released nearly 3,000 compositions to date, over 500 of which have entered the Japanese Oricon singles chart. (also known as "Seventeen") is the debut single by Japanese singer Saori Minami. Written by Mieko Arima and Kyōhei Tsutsumi, the single was released by Sony Music Entertainment Japan, CBS Sony on June 1, 1971. Tsutsumi based the song on "Rose Garden (Lynn Anderson song), Rose Garden" by Lynn Anderson when he learned it was Minami's favorite song. Arima, who was 40 years old at the time, surprised her close friends when she was able to express the feelings of a 17-year-old girl in the song's lyrics. The jacket cover features Minami wearing a shirt that has a drawing of a crab, which symbolizes Cancer (constellation), Cancer as her zodiac sign. (stylized as "OVERHEAT.NIGHT") is the second single by Japanese singer Chisato Moritaka. Written by Hiromasa Ijichi and Hideo Saitō, the single was released by Warner Pioneer on October 25, 1987. In contrast to the pop rock sound of Moritaka's debut single " New Season", the song uses a dance-pop arrangement. "Overnight Heat" was also released as the B-side of the mini CD reissue of "New Season" on March 25, 1988. The video album of "Overheat Night" was released in CDV format on November 28, 1988. Orquesta De La Luz
is a Japanese salsa band that was formed in 1984, and began performing and recording in 1989. The band sings in Spanish and is led by vocalist Nora Shoji, who returned to traditional salsa after the band broke up in the mid-1990s.
