Modern Orthodox Judaism (also Modern Orthodox or Modern Orthodoxy) is a movement within Orthodox Judaism that attempts to synthesize Jewish values and the observance of Jewish law with the secular, modern world. Joshua Prager (writer)
Joshua Harris Prager (born 1971) is an American journalist and author. Biography Joshua Harris Prager was born in a Jewish family in Eagle Butte, South Dakota. Prager is the son of Columbia University physician and medical ethics expert Kenneth Prager, and the nephew of commentator Dennis Prager. He attended the Moriah School in Englewood, New Jersey, the Ramaz High School in Manhattan, and Columbia College, where he studied music theory, graduating in 1994. In May 1990, Prager was paralyzed in a road accident in Israel when a truck driver rammed into the minibus in which he was riding. He is now married and has two daughters. Gary Rosenblatt was the editor and publisher of ''The Jewish Week'' of New York, a position he held from 1993 through 2019. Previously he was the editor of the ''Baltimore Jewish Times'' for 19 years. Rosenblatt is the father of musician Dov. Early career In 1972, Charles "Chuck" Buerger, the grandson of the founder of the ''Baltimore Jewish Times'', became the weekly's publisher. In 1974 he hired Gary Rosenblatt as editor.
