Moriah Jerusalem Development Corporation
Moriah Jerusalem Development Corporation ( he, מוריה - חברה לפיתוח ירושלים בע"מ) is an organization, established by the Municipality of Jerusalem in 1987. The main objective of Moriah is to develop the infrastructure in Jerusalem and perform public work for local government. History and management Moriah was founded in 1986 by Uzi Wechsler, former city treasurer of the Jerusalem Development Authority. It has worked closely with the Jerusalem Development Authority since the time of Teddy Kollek, who was mayor of Jerusalem and founder of the Jerusalem Foundation. Moriah promotes infrastructure development for the Jerusalem Development Authority, the Ministry of Transport and Road Safety, and the Ministry of Transport and Road Safety, and it has affiliated with these ministries. Teddy Stadium
Teddy Stadium ( he, אצטדיון טדי) is a sports stadium in the Malha neighborhood of Jerusalem. Three football teams currently use the stadium: Beitar Jerusalem, Hapoel Jerusalem, and the Israel national football team for select home matches. The stadium is named after long-time Jerusalem mayor Teddy Kollek, who was in office during the time of its construction and was one of its prominent advocates. History For Beitar, the stadium was a major upgrade after years of playing at the YMCA Stadium, nicknamed "The Sandbox". In the first stage, only the west and east sides of the stadium were built, giving it a capacity of 14,500. In 1999, work was finished on a north side which contains capacity of 8000 seats. ''The Jerusalem Post'' is a broadsheet newspaper based in Jerusalem, founded in 1932 during the British Mandate of Palestine by Gershon Agron as ''The Palestine Post''. In 1950, it changed its name to ''The Jerusalem Post''. In 2004, the paper was bought by Mirkaei Tikshoret, a diversified Israeli media firm controlled by investor Eli Azur. In April 2014, Azur acquired the newspaper ''Maariv''. The newspaper is published in English and previously also printed a French edition. Jerusalem Road 20
Jerusalem Road 20 is a combination of existing roads and new construction creating a continuous route between Jerusalem's Highway 50 (Begin Boulevard) and Pisgat Ze'ev via Beit Hanina. The number "20" is a designation used by the Jerusalem Municipality. Several segments of the road follow national road 4197. The cost of the project was NIS 180 million and was completed on 5 May 2013. Route The route begins at Highway 50 (Begin Boulevard) at the new Benzion Netanyahu Interchange just west of the Beit Hanina neighborhood of Jerusalem. From there the route traverses a bridge over the Atarot Stream. Jerusalem Road 16
Highway 16 (or Ariel Sharon Blvd) is a highway at the western entrance to Jerusalem providing direct access to the southern and central sections of the city from the west. Most of the road is located inside newly built tunnels. The project cost approximately 1.5 billion shekels, and was inaugurated a year ahead of schedule on 31 August 2022. Highway The highway connects Highway 1 at the new Motza Interchange and Jerusalem's Highway 50 (Begin Boulevard) at Givat Mordechai Interchange. The road travels mostly through a series of tunnels under the west Jerusalem neighborhoods of Har Nof and Yefeh Nof and the parking lots of Shaare Zedek Medical Center. Jerusalem Road 21
Jerusalem Road 21 is a road beginning at Highway 1 between Ramat Shlomo and Shu'afat northward to Beit Hanina and the Atarot Industrial Park. Plans call for a boulevard with two lanes in each direction. Construction is expected to cost NIS 112 million and was originally expected to be completed by January 2015. The first three sections of the road and part of the fourth section were completed in 2020. Route The route begins at a new junction on Highway 1 ( Yigael Yadin Boulevard) west of the Sha'ar Mizrah Junction with Highway 60. Traveling northward, the road includes new entrances to Ramat Shlomo and Shu'afat reaching an altitude of 810 m.
