Morgan Williams (ecologist)
John Morgan Williams (born 25 March 1943) is a New Zealand ecologist and agricultural scientist who served as the Parliamentary Commissioner for the Environment from 1997 to March 2007. Educated at Rangiora High School, Williams obtained a MSc from the University of Canterbury, studying biology and ecology, and then studied at the University of Bath where he completed a PhD in population ecology. He worked in Antarctica and Fiji before returning to New Zealand where he worked for the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries in research, management and policy for 21 years. In January 1996, he joined Agriculture New Zealand Limited, a Wrightson Group company, and the following year he was appointed New Zealand's second Parliamentary Commissioner for the Environment. Williams joined the board of WWF-New Zealand in 2009 and was elected chair in 2012, serving in that role until May 2019. Morgan Williams (politician)
Charles Morgan Williams (21 April 1878 – 4 August 1970) was a mayor and Member of Parliament for Kaiapoi in Canterbury, New Zealand. Early years: farming and business C. Morgan Williams was born in North Wales in 1878, and worked as a letter sorter in London. There he was active in the Battersea Branch of the British Social Democratic Federation and later secretary of the Clapham Branch. He came to New Zealand in 1902, and worked as a farm labourer in the Kaiapoi district until 1906, when he bought and leased land in the Tram Road area and grew potatoes. On the peat land he developed an extensive drainage system to allow dairy farming and founded the Maesgwyn herd of pedigree Ayrshire cattle. Williams purchased the property known as "Waverley" from Richard Evans in 1925. He also established the grain and produce business of C. Morgan Williams and Son in Charles Street, Kaiapoi. Morgan Andrew Williams (born April 17, 1976, in Kingston, Ontario) is a rugby union scrum half. A Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia native, Williams debuted on the world rugby scene at age 23 when he scored two tries for Canada against France during the 1999 Rugby World Cup. The 183 cm, 84 kg Williams has played professionally with Bordeaux-Begles (1999–00 season), Stade Français (00-02 and 06 seasons), Saracens (02-05 seasons). Williams beat out Christophe Lassuque to gain the starting role at Stade Français, and Kieran Bracken at Saracens. Williams Played 3 times for the British Barbarians, and was selected in the Martin Johnston vs Joan Lomu North vs South game in Twickenham. Morgan Williams (born 28 December 1995) is a Welsh rugby union player who plays at fullback for the Wales rugby sevens team and the Great Britain rugby sevens team. He has previously played at wing and fullback for Scarlets and for Aberavon RFC. His appearances for Wales sevens have included the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast and the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. Morgan Williams (born 30 August 1999) is an English professional footballer who plays for Yeovil Town, as a defender. Career Williams began his football career in the youth system of Nottingham Forest before being released at under-15 level. After a few years out of the game Williams joined the youth team of non-league Mickleover Sports in September 2016. On 22 April 2017, Williams made his Northern Premier League Premier Division debut for Mickleover against Frickley Athletic. After being named in the 2017–18 Northern Premier League team of the season, Williams signed for Coventry City for a fee of £12,000 plus add-ons in July 2018. He made his senior debut on 12 September 2018 in a 3-0 defeat against Arsenal U21 in the EFL Trophy, coming on as a substitute in the 61st minute for Dujon Sterling.
