Morgan Valley is a former American basketball player, former head coach of the Hartford Hawks women's basketball team, and current assistant coach for the UConn Huskies basketball team. Playing career High school A two-time Vermont Miss Basketball selection by the Burlington Free Press, Valley guided Rice Memorial High School to two-straight undefeated seasons and two Division I girls state championships. College Valley attended the University of Connecticut and played basketball for Hall of Fame coach Geno Auriemma from 2000-2004. As a member of three national championship squads, and the 2001–02 undefeated team, Valley appeared in 108 games. The UConn Huskies women's basketball team is the college basketball program representing the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut, in NCAA Division I women's basketball competition. They completed a seven-season tenure in the American Athletic Conference in 2019–20, and came back to the Big East Conference for the 2020–21 season. 2016 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Tournament
The 2016 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament was played between March and April 2016, with the Final Four played April 3 & 5. The regional locations were four neutral sites: Bridgeport, Connecticut, Dallas, Lexington, Kentucky, and Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The Final Four was played at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Connecticut won their fourth consecutive national championship, defeating Syracuse 82–51. America East Conference
The America East Conference is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with NCAA Division I founded in 1979, whose members are located in the Northeastern United States. The conference has nine core members including eight public research universities, three of which, the University of Maine, the University of New Hampshire, and the University of Vermont, are the flagship universities of their states. The two non-flagship university centers of the State University of New York are in the conference: the University at Albany and Binghamton University.
