Morgan Scalley
Morgan Scalley (born October 8, 1979) is an American football coach who is currently the defensive coordinator at the University of Utah. He also played high school football in Salt Lake City at Highland High School and college football at Utah, where he has spent the entirety of his coaching career. Playing career Scalley was a defensive back at Utah from 2001 to 2004. During his career at Utah, he was named an All-American, Mountain West co-defensive player of the year, a unanimous first-team all-conference safety, as well as a second-team All-Mountain West Conference in 2003 and a 2× Academic All-American. Scalley was presented with the inauguraPat Tillman awardduring the 2005 East-West Shrine Game. A defensive coordinator is a coach responsible for a gridiron football (American football) team's defense. Generally, the defensive coordinator, the offensive coordinator and the special teams coordinator represent the second level of a team's coaching structure, with the head coach being the first level. The primary role of the defensive coordinator is managing the roster of defensive players, overseeing the assistant coaches, developing the defensive game plan, and calling plays for the defense during the game. John Pease (American Football)
John Pease (October 14, 1943 – August 16, 2021) was an American football coach who held various positions in the pro and college ranks. Pease had his last coaching position at the University of Utah, where he was the defensive coordinator during the 2015 season. He was the defensive coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2002. Prior to his promotion with the Jaguars, he served as their defensive line coach from the team's inception in 1995 through 2002.
