Cowboy Morgan Evans
Charles "Cowboy" Morgan Evans (February 19, 1903 – April 15, 1969) was an American champion rodeo sports cowboy and oil field worker from Texas who worked as a rancher and oil drilling foreman the majority of his life. Evans won the 1927 World Series Rodeo Bulldogging Championship at New York City's Madison Square Garden. The World Series Rodeo is now known as the National Finals Rodeo (or "NFR"). Cowboy Evan's championship is recorded in the Rodeo Hall of Fame at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Early life Charlie Morgan Evans was born to rancher Andrew Jackson Evans, Sr., and his wife Grace Morgan in the community of Huff, Texas in Archer County. The family was of Scottish and Welsh descent. Morgan "Bill" Evans (June 10, 1910 – August 16, 2002) was a horticulturalist who guided the landscape design of Disney theme parks for half a century. He most notably transformed the landscape of of forest in Anaheim, California to create Disneyland. Early life Evans was born in Santa Monica, California, where he learned botany from his father, a second-generation horticulturalist. He joined the Merchant Marine in 1928 and traveled around the world on the SS President Harrison, gathering seeds for his father's garden from the countries he visited. After returning from duty, Evans studied at Pasadena City College and then at Stanford, majoring in geology. He left school early in 1931 because of the Great Depression, and returned home to transform his father's garden into a nursery business selling rare and exotic plants to the Hollywood elite. Morgan Luc Evans (born 23 March 1992) is a Welsh rugby league footballer who plays for the West Wales Raiders in The Betfred League 1. He began his career playing with his university rugby league team and made his début with the Wales national rugby league team, in 2014 in a charity match against the Keighley Cougars. In 2015, he played during Wales's successful European Cup campaign. As well as the West Wales Raiders, he has also played for the clubs Gloucestershire All Golds, South Wales Scorpions and Coventry Bears.
