Morgan Ellis
Morgan Ellis (born April 30, 1992) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman. He is currently playing under contract with Eisbären Berlin of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). Ellis was selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the 4th round (117th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Ellis played four seasons (2008 – 2012) of major junior hockey in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), scoring 27 goals and 96 assists for 123 points, while earning 222 penalty minutes, in 237 QMJHL games. He was recognized for his outstanding performance during the 2011–12 season when he was selected to receive the Kevin Lowe Trophy as the league's best defensive defenceman, and was also named to the 2011–12 QMJHL Second All-Star Team. 2011–12 QMJHL Season
The 2011–12 QMJHL season was the 43rd season of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). The regular season, which consisted of 17 teams playing 68 games each, began in September 2011 and ended in March 2012. This season was Blainville-Boisbriand Armada's first season in the league, as the team relocated to Boisbriand from Verdun where they played as the Montreal Junior Hockey Club from 2008 to 2011. The Chicago Wolves are a professional ice hockey team playing in the American Hockey League and are the top minor-league affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League. The Hamilton Bulldogs were a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League. 2012–13 AHL Season
The 2012–13 AHL season was the 77th season of the American Hockey League. The regular season began on October 12, 2012 and ended on April 21, 2013. The 2013 Calder Cup playoffs followed the conclusion of the regular season. The Calder Cup was won by the Grand Rapids Griffins for their first Calder Cup in franchise history. Regular season On June 28, the Board of Governors approved a minor realignment for the league for the 2012–13 season. The 2012 MasterCard Memorial Cup was a four-team, round-robin format ice hockey tournament played from May 18–27, 2012 at the Centre Bionest in Shawinigan, Quebec. It was the 94th Memorial Cup championship and determined the champion of the Canadian Hockey League (CHL). Shawinigan Cataractes
The Shawinigan Cataractes (french: Cataractes de Shawinigan) are a junior ice hockey team in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. The team is based in Shawinigan, Quebec, Canada. The Cataractes have been previously known as the Shawinigan Bruins until 1973, and were called the Shawinigan Dynamos from 1973 to 1978.
