More Machine Than Man
More Machine Than Man is an American industrial rock / coldwave / goth rock band. It was formed by two musicians under the pseudonyms, Tasha Katrine and Tech (later changed to Robzilla). More Machine Than Man has independently released three full-length albums. More Machine Than Man released one EP on the label Underground Inc. and one album on Black Flames Records. From Seattle, More Machine Than Man independently released the 12 song album titled, Dark Matter in August 2012. Dark Matter includes two songs produced by En Esch of Slick Idiot and one song with a keyboard performance by Romell Regulacion of Razed in Black. The band's live performances integrate original video content, created by Tasha Katrine and Robzilla. Convergence (sometimes referenced as C*) is the annual net.goth party run by and for members of the alt.gothic and alt.gothic.fashion newsgroup, and other related Usenet newsgroups. Started in 1995, it is a chance for net.goths and others who normally only meet on the Internet to meet. Events at Convergence typically included live bands and club nights, bazaars, fashion, art shows, panels, and tours of goth-themed locales in the host city. Wave Gotik Treffen
The Wave-Gotik-Treffen (WGT; ) is an annual world festival for "dark" music and "dark culture" in Leipzig, Germany. 150+ bands and artists from various backgrounds ( gothic rock, gothic metal, EBM, industrial, noise, darkwave, neo-folk, neo-classical, medieval, experimental, deathrock and punk music being examples) play at several venues throughout the city over four days on Whitsuntide. Eccentrik
The Eccentrik Festival was an annual 3-day Goth and industrial music festival held in the Raleigh, North Carolina area and had in some years been spread out between several different venues. The festival started in October 2004. Musical styles typically featured at Eccentrik included deathrock, psychobilly, gothic rock, industrial, post-punk, dark cabaret, steampunk, synthpop and other related genres. The festival was also notable for its party-like atmosphere, the pre-festival meet n' greet, art show, and a dancefloor featuring goth, deathrock, industrial, steampunk and post-punk djs from around the US. In 2008, the Eccentrik Festival went steampunk by asking some of the most well-known musicians in that genre to perform, as well as having the Davenport sisters of the weekly radio program, The Clockwork Cabaret, act as hosts for the event.
