"More, More, More" is a song written by Gregg Diamond and recorded by American artist Andrea True (credited to her recording project Andrea True Connection). It was released in February 1976 as the first single from her debut album by same name (1976), becoming her signature track and one of the most popular songs of the disco era. In the US, it reached number four on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and spent three weeks at number three on the ''Cash Box'' chart in July of that year. In Canada, it was a number-one hit. Background The song was originally recorded in 1975 in Jamaica where True, a porn star, had been appearing in a TV commercial. Unable to return to the United States due to a government ban on asset transfers, she opted to invest the money in a studio recording to advance her career as a singer. Background and production During her heyday as a Pornographic film actor, porn actress, around 1975, True was hired by a real estate business in Jamaica to appear in their commercials. While she was working there, the Jamaican government banned asset transfers in response to sanctions imposed by the U.S. after the election of Michael Manley, a supporter of Fidel Castro. In order to return to the U.S., True would have either to forfeit her pay or spend the money before she went home. ''More! More! More!'' is the tenth studio album by the Japanese electronica band Capsule, released on November 19, 2008. The album reached #3 and #6 on the Oricon daily and weekly charts, making it the band's most successful album in their career selling a total of 67,309 copies and being the duo's first album with a Top 10 ranking. Carmel are an English jazz/soul group active since the early 1980s. The band consisted of Carmel McCourt, Jim Paris and Gerry Darby. History Carmel was formed in Manchester when two students, Carmel McCourt and Jim Paris got together with drummer Gerry Darby (Paris's cousin). Their debut single, "Storm" reached No. 13 in the UK Independent Chart and they were then signed to London Records. Their second album, ''The Drum Is Everything'' (produced by Mike Thorne) drew some praise. Paris and Darby conjured the effect of a full ensemble backing to McCourt's vocals, and alternated between soulful ballads, gospel, blues and jazz. Blake Adam Ritson (born 14 January 1978) is an English actor and director. Early life Blake was born on 14, June, 1978 in London and attended the Dolphin School in Reading, Berkshire until 1993, before going to St Paul's School in West London on an academic scholarship.
