Mordheim
''Mordheim'' is a tabletop game published by Games Workshop in 1999. It is a variant of the company's Warhammer Fantasy game set on a warband or "skirmish" scale. Mordheim was designed by Alessio Cavatore, Tuomas Pirinen, and Rick Priestley. Besides the skirmish game, ''Mordheim'' also features a campaign system. Warbands gain experience and equipment as the campaign progresses, in a similar nature to role-playing games. Warhammer Fantasy Battle
''Warhammer'' (formerly ''Warhammer Fantasy Battle'' or just ''Warhammer Fantasy'') is a tabletop miniature wargame with a medieval fantasy theme. The game was created by Bryan Ansell, Richard Halliwell, and Rick Priestley; it was published by the Games Workshop company. As in other miniature wargames, players use miniature models (''minis'') to represent warriors. The playing field is a model battlefield comprising models of buildings, trees, hills, and other terrain features. Players take turns moving their model warriors across the playing field and simulate a battle. The outcomes of fights between the models are determined by a combination of dice rolls and simple arithmetic. Alessio Cavatore
Alessio Cavatore is a game designer. Early life and education Alessio Cavatore was born in Turin, Italy, on Valentine's Day, 1972. Career In 1995 Cavatore moved to Nottingham (U.K.) to work for Games Workshop. He wrote several supplements for ''Warhammer Fantasy Battle'' before heading up the ''Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game''. In 2004 Cavatore was made responsible for all rules material published for the company's three main tabletop systems — ''Warhammer'', ''Warhammer 40,000'', and ''The Lord of the Rings'' — and, in 2006, he wrote the rules for a new edition of ''Warhammer''. Working closely with Rick Priestley, Cavatore has been a designer for Games Workshop's tabletop hobby wargames. Military strategy is a set of ideas implemented by military organizations to pursue desired strategic goals. City Of The Damned
''City of the Damned'' is a '' Judge Dredd'' story which was published in British comic '' 2000 AD'' in issues 393–406 (1984–1985). It was written by John Wagner and Alan Grant and illustrated by Steve Dillon, Ian Gibson, Ron Smith and Kim Raymond. It was the first ''Judge Dredd'' story to feature time travel. Originally planned to last for at least twenty issues (like earlier stories "The Judge Child" and "The Apocalypse War"), the writers ended the series at only 14 issues because they did not like time travel stories. During publication, four pages of artwork by Steve Dillon were lost, and Dillon had to replace them at short notice. He completed them in time and the relevant episode was published without the story being interrupted. The original pages were found years later and were published in issue 610, alongside the new versions so that readers could compare them.
