Morbius (comics)
Morbius the Living Vampire, real name Michael Alexander Morbius, M.D.,''Morbius the Living Vampire'' (vol. 1) #1. Marvel Comics. Ph.D., is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Roy Thomas and originally designed by penciler Gil Kane, he debuted as a tragic, sympathetic adversary of the superhero Spider-Man in ''The Amazing Spider-Man'' (vol. 1) #101 (October 1971). For years, Morbius frequently clashed with Spider-Man and other superheroes while occasionally regaining his reason and helping those he regarded as allies. The 1992 Marvel Comics " Rise of the Midnight Sons" crossover event then revived and revised several horror-themed Marvel characters in order to present them as lead protagonists in new titles. The event launched the new series ''Morbius the Living Vampire'' (vol. 1), which ran from 1992 to 1995 and now presented the title character as a lethal anti-hero and vigilante. Gabriele Dell'Otto
Gabriele Dell’Otto (born December 20, 1973) is an Italian illustrator and author whose works have been published in several countries in the fields of scientific illustration, American comic books, comic books, calendars, lithographies, books, colored graphic folders, and cover work for magazines and video games. Early life Dell'Otto was born December 20, 1973 in Rome, Italy. He received a diploma in artistic maturity and registered in the European Design Institute. Career In 1998 Dell'Otto started collaborating with the European division of Marvel Comics, producing covers, posters and lithographies for Italy, France and Germany. In Germany he started collaborating with DC Comics and other publishers such as IPP, Egmont Ehapa and MG Publishing. In 2002-2003 the Italian Carabinieri hired him to design the images for their historical calendar. In 2002 his work was shown to Joe Quesada, the editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics, who assigned him the art duties for the ''Secret War ( ...
