Moray Hunter
Moray Hunter (born 6 October 1957, Hawick, Scotland) is a Scotland, Scottish comedian, writer and performer. He starred in the Channel 4 sketch show, ''Absolutely (TV series), Absolutely''. Alongside Jack Docherty he played one half of the eccentric double-act, Don and George, in ''Absolutely'' and later in the spin-off series, ''Mr. Don and Mr. George''. Moray also provided the voice for a shadow puppet in one of Aardman Animations' short films, ''Humdrum''. As a writer, Moray has contributed to ''Smack the Pony'', ''Alas Smith and Jones'', ''Spitting Image'', ''The Lenny Henry Show'', ''The Clan'' and the animated series of ''Meg and Mog''; and on radio to ''Radio Active (radio series), Radio Active'' and ''Alone (radio series), Alone''. Hawick
Hawick ( ; sco, Haaick; gd, Hamhaig) is a town in the Scottish Borders council area and historic county of Roxburghshire in the east Southern Uplands of Scotland. It is south-west of Jedburgh and south-south-east of Selkirk. It is one of the farthest towns from the sea in Scotland, in the heart of Teviotdale, and is the biggest town in the former county of Roxburghshire. The town is at the confluence of the Slitrig Water with the River Teviot. The town was formally established in the 16th century, but was previously the site of historic settlement going back hundreds of years. ''Spitting Image'' is a British satirical television puppet show, created by Peter Fluck, Roger Law and Martin Lambie-Nairn. First broadcast in 1984, the series was produced by 'Spitting Image Productions' for Central Independent Television over 18 series which aired on the ITV network. ''Radio Active'' is a radio comedy programme, broadcast on BBC Radio 4 during the 1980s. The series grew out of a 1979 Edinburgh Festival Fringe show presented by The Oxford Revue and starred Angus Deayton, Geoffrey Perkins, Michael Fenton Stevens, Helen Atkinson-Wood and Philip Pope. Meg and Mog is a series of children's books written by Helen Nicoll and illustrated by Jan Pieńkowski. First published in the 1970s, the books are about Meg, a witch whose spells always seem to go wrong, her striped cat Mog, and their friend Owl. The first book was published in January 1972. Following the death of Helen Nicholl in 2012, the series has been continued by Pieńkowski and David Walser. ''Smack the Pony'' is a British sketch comedy show that was originally broadcast between 1999 and 2003 on Channel 4. ''Humdrum'' is a 1998 British animated comedy short film directed by Peter Peake. It was released in 1998 and produced by Aardman Animations and received an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Short Film and a BAFTA nomination in the same category.
