Moosie Drier
Gary Drier, known professionally as Moosie Drier (born August 6, 1964) is an American television and film actor. He is best known for his roles as Adam Landers in ''Oh, God! (film), Oh, God!'' and Riley on ''Kids Incorporated''. Drier had regular appearances on ''Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In'' and ''The Bob Newhart Show''. Moosie has also worked as a voice actor and as a director. Life and career Drier was born in Chicago but raised in California. He was named after former New York Yankee Bill "Moose" Skowron, who was a friend of Drier's father. He attended Grant High School (Los Angeles), U.S. Grant High School, Van Nuys, California, from which he graduated in 1982. Drier began his television career as a recurring performer on ''Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In'' from the middle of season three to the final season in 1973, hosting a "Kid News for Kids" segment. He was best known for his role as Kevin "Ug" Lee on the Nickelodeon sitcom ''Salute Your Shorts'', and later for his voice acting roles in animation and video games. Charles Hardin Holley (September 7, 1936 – February 3, 1959), known as Buddy Holly, was an American singer and songwriter who was a central and pioneering figure of mid-1950s rock and roll. ''American Hot Wax'' is a 1978 biographical film directed by Floyd Mutrux with a screenplay by John Kaye from a story by John Kaye and Art Linson. The film tells the story of pioneering disc jockey Alan Freed, who in the 1950s helped introduce and popularize rock and roll, and is often credited with coining the term "rock 'n' roll". The film starred Tim McIntire, Fran Drescher, Jay Leno, Laraine Newman, Jeff Altman, and Moosie Drier. It also featured musical performances by Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Frankie Ford, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, and Brooklyn Dreams as "Professor La Plano and The Planotones". Albert James "Alan" Freed (December 15, 1921 – January 20, 1965) was an American disc jockey. He also produced and promoted large traveling concerts with various acts, helping to spread the importance of rock and roll music throughout North America. In 1986, Freed was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. His "role in breaking down racial barriers in U.S. pop culture in the 1950s, by leading white and black kids to listen to the same music, put the radio personality 'at the vanguard' and made him 'a really important figure'", according to the executive director.
