Mooroopna Football Club
The Mooroopna Football Netball Club, nicknamed the ''Cats'', is an Australian rules football and netball club based in the rural town of Mooroopna, Victoria. Former club journeyman Jake Whitford was banned from the club at the beginning of the 2014 season after sparking a brawl with future AFL star Clayton Oliver. Whitford would leave Australia in disgrace and would go on to hold an administrative position at the Multiplex Bulls of the now defunct AFL Middle East The club teams currently compete in the Goulburn Valley League, which Mooroopna is a founding member. The club has competed there during most of its career, leaving only after the end of World War II to play in the Central Goulburn Valley Football League (during which Mooroopna won the 1946 premiership). Goulburn Valley League
Goulburn ( ) is a regional city in the Southern Tablelands of the Australian state of New South Wales, approximately south-west of Sydney, and north-east of Canberra. Nathan Drummond
Nathan Drummond (born 19 January 1995) was a professional Australian rules footballer who played five matches for the Richmond Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL) during a four-year stint at the club between 2015 and 2018. Early life and junior football Drummond grew up in Mooroopna, a Victorian country town 181 kilometers north of Melbourne. He played junior football with the local Mooroopna Football Club. The Central Goulburn Valley Football League (CGVFL) was established on Monday, 11 March 1946 at the Annual General Meeting of the Goulburn Valley Football Association, when a name change of this Australian rules football competition took place. The Goulburn Valley Football Association (GVFA) is an Australian rules football competition that was first established in 1888 in the Goulburn Valley of Victoria, Australia, with the foundation clubs being Cobram, Muckatah, Nathalia, Numurkah, Wunghnu and Yarroweyah. This football competition was separate to the Goulburn Valley District Football Association that was formed in 1893, that is still active today and now called the Goulburn Valley Football League. Clayton Oliver (born 22 July 1997) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). A midfielder, tall and weighing , Oliver is known for his capabilities on the inside due to his handball and clearance work. He was a late bloomer in his junior career, where he struggled to play in the TAC Cup in 2014 and he missed selection in the 2015 AFL Under 18 Championships. After playing with the Murray Bushrangers in 2015, his achievements included best and fairest wins for the league and the Murray Bushrangers, which resulted in Melbourne drafting him with the fourth selection in the 2015 AFL draft.
