Moorkoth Kunhappa
Murkoth Kunhappa was a bureaucrat and, later, a journalist. He was born on May 14, 1905, and was the eldest son of Moorkoth Kumaran, a popular Malayalam short story writer and social reformer. He was an associate editor of ''Malayala Manorama'', a leading Malayalam daily newspaper, from 1966 until his death in 1993, during which he was a dominant presence in the cultural life of Kerala. Like his father, he was a follower of Sree Narayana Gurudevan. He produced many books, writing in English and Tamil as well as in Malayalam: they include ''Sree Narayana Guru (National Biography)'', ''Jivithasmaranakal'' (''Reminiscences''), a biography of ''Mammen Mappilai'' (the founder of Malayala Manorama) and an English-language children's book, ''Three bags of gold and other Indian folk tales'', which has attracted the interest of students of literature in several American universities.. Moorkoth Kumaran
Moorkoth Kumaran (1874–1941) was a social reformer, a teacher and a short story writer in Malayalam. Kumaran came from a Thiyya family of Thalassery, Kannur. He was a disciple of Narayana Guru and wrote the first biography of Guru. He initiated the installation of the first statue of Narayana Guru in Kerala when he was alive. Biography Murkothu Kumaran was born on May 23, 1874 into the Murkothu family of North Malabar. His father was Murkoth Ramunni, and his mother was Parappurathu Kunchirutha. His mother died when he was aged six and his father when he was eight. Kumaran grew up in his father's family. Education in Thalassery and Madras. He started his own magazine, Moderate. Sree Narayana Guru
Narayana Guru, , (20 August 1856 – 20 September 1928) was a philosopher, spiritual leader and social reformer in India. He led a reform movement against the injustice in the caste-ridden society of Kerala in order to promote spiritual enlightenment and social equality. Biography Narayanan, né Nanu, was born on 20 August 1856 to Madan Asan and Kuttiyamma in an Ezhava family, in the village of Chempazhanthy near Thiruvananthapuram, in the erstwhile state of Travancore. His early education was in the gurukula way under Chempazhanthi Mootha Pillai during which time his mother died when he was 15. At the age of 21, he went to central Travancore to learn from Raman Pillai Asan, a Sanskrit scholar who taught him Vedas, Upanishads and the literature and logical rhetoric of Sanskrit. Moorkoth Ramunni (15 September 1915 – 9 July 2009) was a Malayalee fighter pilot in the Royal Indian Air Force, and the first Indian Administrative officer from Dharmadam village. the youngest son of Moorkoth Kumaran. He was an aviator from Kerala of the Royal Indian Air Force (later Indian Air Force). He was a Hurricane pilot in 1st Squadron that saw action against Japan in the Arakan Campaign in the Second World War. He worked in the Cabinet Secretariat in 1947. He was one among the ten people who were appointed to look after the tribes for 25 years. He was the advisor of the governors of the states Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura.
