Moonlight Express
''Moonlight Express'' is a 1999 Hong Kong-Japanese romance film directed by Daniel Lee (film director), Daniel Lee and starring Leslie Cheung and Takako Tokiwa. Plot Hitomi, a Japanese resident, comes to Hong Kong after the death of her fiancé Tetsuya in a Accident, fatal accident to settle several important matters surrounding his demise. Although the incident was years ago, it has apparently left an indelible mark in her life as she could not forget him. Enter Kar-bo, an undercover cop, was involved in a drug bust-up which would later incriminate him. Hitomi stumbles into him and was amazed that he looked remarkably similar to her dead lover. They soon found themselves having strong feelings for each other, although at the same time, he has to flee to China as things have gone from bad to worse for him. Jack Kao
Jack Kao (, born 23 April 1958) is a Taiwanese actor. Career He began his career in the late 1980s films of Hou Hsiao-hsien. Kao credits his success to the many real-life gangsters he knew when he was young. He appeared in '' City of Sadness'', a film about Taiwan's White Terror, which received the 1989 Golden Lion award the Venice Film Festival. Another of his films about that same period, 2009's ''Prince of Tears'', was also included in the festival. Sam Lee Chan-sam (born 27 September 1975) is a Hong Kong actor. He started his film career when he was first spotted by director Fruit Chan who cast him in '' Made in Hong Kong''. Since his debut, Lee has been working hard on many films. In 1999, he made thirteen films in that year alone. He appeared in a Japanese film ''Ping Pong'' as one of the contestants in the movie. Cheung Wing-fat (), also known as Mars (), is a Hong Kong actor, action director, stuntman and martial artist. He is one of Jackie Chan's best friends. Early life Cheung Wing-fat was born in Hong Kong in 1954. He got the nickname "Weird Fire Star" after being involved in a car accident leaving him with two scars on his head. While working as a stuntman on a film in Thailand he got promoted to a supporting actor and needed a stage name. He picked "Mars" based on his nickname. He became a student of Madame Fan Fok Wah (粉菊花, aka Fen Juhua) in The Spring and Autumn Drama School. He practiced every day from 5am to 9pm. Film career Mars started acting in 1966 at the age of 12.
