Montgomery is a city located in Montgomery County, Texas. As of the 2020 census, the city had a total population of 1,948. History The town of Montgomery was founded in the middle of the Lake Creek Settlement by W. W. Shepperd in July 1837 on 200 acres of land that had originally been part of the John Corner League. Lake Creek High School
Lake Creek High School (LCHS) is a high school in unincorporated Montgomery County, Texas, in the United States. It is the second high school built by Montgomery Independent School District. The school was built after enrollment at Montgomery High School exceeded building capacity. Lake Creek opened on August 21, 2018, for the 2018–2019 school year. The first principal was Phil Eaton. The school is located on Farm to Market Road 2854. Lake Creek High School is named after the Lake Creek Settlement: an early settlement in Stephen F. Conroe Independent School District
Conroe Independent School District (CISD) is a school district in Montgomery County, Texas. The district's headquarters are located in the Deane L. Sadler Administration/Technology Center in Conroe. The CISD area, which covers , is part of the Lone Star College System (formerly the North Harris Montgomery Community College District). In 2005, CISD enrolled displaced Louisianans from the areas affected by Hurricane Katrina who were residing in the Conroe ISD boundaries. CISD has its own police department of over 41 officers.
