Monterrey Municipality is one of the 51 subdivisions of the State of Nuevo León, Mexico. Its municipal seat is located in the City of Monterrey. Nuevo León
Nuevo León () is a state in the northeast region of Mexico. The state was named after the New Kingdom of León, an administrative territory from the Viceroyalty of New Spain, itself was named after the historic Spanish Kingdom of León. With a total land area of 64,555 square kilometers (40,112 square miles), Nuevo León is the 13th largest federal entity in Mexico. The state is bordered by Tamaulipas to the east, Coahuila to the west, and both Zacatecas and San Luis Potosi to the south. Monterrey ( , ) is the capital and largest city of the northeastern state of Nuevo León, Mexico, and the third largest city in Mexico behind Guadalajara and Mexico City. Luis Donaldo Colosio Riojas
Luis Donaldo Colosio Riojas (born 31 July 1985) is a Mexican lawyer and politician. He is the mayor of the city of Monterrey and was a legislator in the Congress of Nuevo León from 1 September 2018 to 1 February 2021. He is the son of Luis Donaldo Colosio Murrieta, the PRI presidential candidate, who was assassinated at a campaign rally in Tijuana during the Mexican presidential campaign of 1994. Biography Born in Magdalena de Kino on 31 July 1985, Luis Donaldo Colosio Riojas has a younger sister named Mariana Colosio Riojas.
